Other than the opponents listed on my site, none of the PvP in this video was prearranged. Everything else was random world PvP occurrences or Battleground occurrences. Filmed between late season 5 and season 7. I started working around April and Bizzle started his editing in September to give you an idea of what went into it.
I’d like to give a big thank you to Bizzlesnaff for doing a great job with the editing and putting a huge amount of effort into the video, he is a big part of this project. I’d also like to thank the mysterious “Duke” who provided the voice acting and sound effects.
The music can be found during the credits in the video. I didn’t list the music or opponents here, they are in the credits because I’d rather people found out while watching. You can also find a detailed list of opponents, soundtrack, and a download of my current UI on roguerogue.com, but I suggest watching the vid first.
Regarding Video Size and Format:
This video is rendered in mp4 format. If you can’t view the video I’d suggest downloading and installing this codec pack which can be found here, and will let you watch most video formats. As this video is fairly long, I apologize for the size having to be so large to maintain high quality. I suggest you be patient and download or stream the HQ version despite the size, but I’ve also provided a lower quality download link if bandwidth is an issue. I’ll work on getting more format / hosting options.
Finally, I’ll leave you with a final warning comment from Bizzle:
”Watch with your diapers on. It’s going to make you sh1t bricks”
Be sure to check out Bizzle’s other videos!

Still DL´ing, takes about 3 hours for me… :/
But I really want to see this in HQ, crappy stream or LQ stuff would totally destroy it. Oh, and thanks for the playlist, this kind of music fits much better to an world pvp movie, just as techno/house fits better to arena pvp. So in this point i cant agree with the writers above.
Still waiting…

This is by far one of the worse Eviscerate videos so far, and that’s saying a lot considering how sub par the previous ones have been. It’s mind boggling how you’re still palying the game yet you can look at the clips you’ve used in this video without a deep rooted sense of shame over the complete lack of any sort of… deserved respect, showcase of difficulty or anything like this which any high level player would define as “entertainment”. Pleasing a crowd of casuals for cheap fame just comes off as so incredibly weak, maybe you should get some real life friends and stop desperatly trying to seek the recognition your dad never gave you.

I’m a fan of Metallica, but I question the wisdom of making a single band three-quarters of your soundtrack.
On the whole, I like the movie, but by the end it felt a bit repetitive. Of the 20+ minutes of rogue/rogue duels, there was almost 30 seconds that involved a spec other than Mutilate/Prep. With the feral druid duels, splitting them up or trimming them down probably wouldn’t be a bad thing. I just fast-forwarded a bit when I realized there was a second.
@MrWise, that looks a lot like the kind of comment you would have already on hand and cut/pasted here regardless of the quality of the movie. Which means you either watched it knowing you would consider your time wasted, or you didn’t watch it and just decided to be a douche. Either way, go die.

@Failure, no- when I make comments I always make them perfectly unique to each specific video and completely based on the video and my own experience as both a player and a WoW movie critic, if the video itself shares similarities with others and thus get similar treatment then that’s not really a fault of mine.

Pretty good movie, however I gotta admit I miss the techno.
The thing that blows me away is the editing in conjunction with the movie.
It’s to the point at where it would be bearable for a non wow player to watch.
The only thing I didn’t like was the lack of a “flow” of the video that is shown in say a movie by Gforce.
Also I really like your movies because your gameplay is accompanied by the music, not the other way around like many other PVP movies I see these days.

\m/ -___- \m/ finally some good music ! Maybe 5 songs by Metallica is too much (well not for me) for narrow minded people but this at least show that you are not afraid to use music you like instead of mainstream tunes for higher ratings.
Comment by DwhyM — December 23, 2009 @ 3:50 pm
I was just looking throgh your old videos, including the arena ones, and i must admit i enjoyed Eviscerate vol. V and vol. IV more than this one.
And it’s a shame, because i know how much time you have put into this. It might be the music, might be the content i dont know for sure. But killing 2 deadly geared people in EotS while listening to Metalicca for the third song in a row is not enjoyable for me. I loved your Trance / Progressive music choice in your previous videos.
Not saying the movie was bad, not at all. You are one of the best, no doubt about that.
Comment by Abs — December 23, 2009 @ 3:51 pm
Owk after a looooong download and Firefox screwing me over, I finally got an early christmas.
Vid was lovely when it comes to the usual stuff: superb editing (Bizzle knows his stuff), great quality, nice variety of fights, some original moments (grenade on teleported warlock and such).
Music wasn’t really my cup of tea but it -did- fit the whole world pvp/duel theme. Trance and the like are more for arena clips, imo.
The BG parts were nice to watch, although I didn’t see anything extraordinary. The duels on the other hand were sublime. Dueling some of the best people in US (perhaps worldwide?) and showing more than one clip, including wins and losses, was extremely enjoyable.
Overal I’d say you should stick to duels and arena clips. Whilst BG clips can be fun to watch, it just can’t compete in awesomeness against the clips of the duels (especially who you duel).
To conclude I’d say it was very enjoyable and well worth the wait. Thanks for an early christmas ^_^.
P.S: Sorry for any typo’s, English ain’t my native language :<

Prepare for the longest comment you will receive on this video…I left my 5/5 rating on WCM, along with a message letting you know that you should check here for my feedback. I have a lot of respect for you because of talented of a player you are, how much time you put in to your videos, and how polite you have been to me when we have spoken in game on Cho’gal and Gurabashi. I have also been checking your website every day for the past 8 months while waiting for this video to release.
Here goes…
The intro was nothing short of amazing. I loved when you killed the human at the STV arena. The animation with the closing eyes at 2:32 was pretty cool and so was the transition at 2:46 were the epic large scale battle was occurring outside BRM. The voice acting was great as well. Overall the intro had a very old fashion 80s western movie feel…
The EOTS clip at 5:21 was honestly a 4/5 only because I know you are capable of getting better BG footage when you get the opener. It seems like in BG clips you focused on fights were your opponents clearly had the upper hand. By this I mean that you did not get the sap or you started the fight with very low health. Don’t get me wrong though…the gouge trinket on the mage was good.
At 6:08 I really liked that grenade on the rogues vanish. Nice prediction for sure. It’s a shame he still got the cheap shot off. It’s also a shame that you had to go in to the city to get most of your world pvp footage.
The duels vs Pyrilus were defiantly amazing. I had a few jaw drop moments during my first time watching. An example would be the death coil vanish at 6:46. You were very fast with your vanish after you used your trinket there. The speed of that vanish was not terribly surprising, but how close you were to him when you did it was. The trinket on seduce at 7:01 was instantaneous, which was insane. Then, the following death coil vanish was a definite jaw drop moment, followed by the impressive shadow fury on vanish. Pyrilus is a very formidable opponent.
The vanish break at 8:07 in your opener vs Sony was hysterical. It’s one of several moments in this video were we can clearly see that rogues need some “adjusting” in Cataclysm. “Rogues gains working vanish…. working vanish fades from rogues.” I thought it was very interesting that Sony canceled bladestorm when you feinted at 9:12.
I again felt sad during the city pvp at 10:20 as a result of your vanish being broken by guards. /sigh GG Blizz. The DK didn’t even follow you after you ruptured and jumped in to the pit, which was disappointing, but this is a situation were you focused on survivalability, or the lack their of for the rogue class. I was very surprised when you lived.
The duels vs Unmercey were as impressive as always, seeing as how he always makes RvR interesting with his tricks. The vanish blind – > sap vanish, which appeared in Unmercey 7, was awesome.
The 1v1 in darnassus vs the priest seemed to be filler material. 13:20- that instant trinket when you got intercepted at the stables flag was superb because of how close you were to death and how quickly the warrior could have taken you out, even with a bleed. The 12:34 blind on trinket vs the rogue seemed to be a filler clip because the fight started with him at low health and he had no other choice than to trinket. 13:50- the fight vs the pali in stormwind was good because you started at low health. It’s a good thing you got a big heal out of that potion.
The duel vs Massive on his priest was very well played. You were very very aggressive against him and he is defiantly one of the best priests around.
The duel vs Spoh was insane. He shifts out, HoTs and shifts back in to bear form really fast. The location you chose for that duel was great as well.
The clip at 21:10 vs the feral druid was pretty good. She was a fair player, as seen by how she demo roaring you out of vanish. She also got the opener, which gives her a HUGE advantage as a feral druid. I actually searched that feral on the armory to see what gear she was in. 31.6k health unbuffed with 3/5 malfurion’s gear. You did an insane amount of damage taking her from 40% to 0% in a single kidney shot.
I did not like the clip at 21:40 vs the 2 rogues because neither of the rogues were geared and only one of them used a trinket. Then, she did not attempt to blind or vanish.
Props to Bizzlesnaff for the editing with the shadow of Uck at24:44. I bet a lot of people didn’t even catch that you vanished the death coil in the first clip.
@27:05 I think you should have just finished the warrior before switching to the lock and jumping off.
The grenade on Anarchies port was phenomenal. You’re the first rogue I’ve seen attempt that in a video. The death coil at 34:02 was predictable, but very good because of how close you stayed when you did it. I laughed when he took you down in a shadowfury, conflag, and one incinerate after that…90% down to 0%.
The music during the duels vs Litercola made them very epic. Your sap on his vanish @37:05 was outstanding considering how quickly you vanished blind, used prep, and then vanished again. You got a “perfect” on him with his opener, which was quite lovely.
What made the dk / pali fight at the gates of SW (following the Litercola clips) so good was the fact that you let them initiate the fight. The ridiculous nature of dk and pali burst and the low survivability of rogues definitely showed in that clip though.
39:20 when you backed out of the totem blast vs Qt was my favorite moment in those duels. The duels vs Massive on his DK at the end was probably the most comical part of the video as far as displaying how ridiculous WOTLK is. The pet following you through every vanish was very comical. I just don’t think our class should have to put up with that…that, or getting death clipped out of vanish. You exerted a lot of control over Massive during those duels, but there is a problem with how little he had to do to take so much of your health.
OVERALL: The duels were great, but I was slightly disappointed in the world pvp. I can understand why that is though because I know how low the alliance count is. I also know how infrequently they show up outside of cities. It’s a shame that you had to resort to visiting cities for world pvp because I thought your world pvp content in eviscerate 9 was a bit more impressive. WOTLK has sort of killed the ability of rogues to 1v2 decent + geared players, which was also exhibited pretty well in the world pvp content. You had to have a fair amount of 1v1 world pvp clips and when they were 1v2 you would often times die or come very close to dying.

Spectacular editing, some good scenes…but some content could have been improved. Even so, better than the average Rogue video and deserves 5/5.

I also agree with most of Sarrik’s very well written comment, also in regards to MrWise, hes obviously some one who does not actually understand rogue combat or mechanics, or the incredible editing.
I enjoyed the music, especially the In Flames, and while I enjoyed the metallica I felt alittle less might have been a bit more.
Comment by Zyael — December 24, 2009 @ 1:02 am
Great stuff bud. Don’t listen to the fanny packs who say the music was bad. I was glad for once I didn’t have to mute it. Now all you need is some Judas Priest and Zeppelin and you got gold.
Comment by Akhos — December 24, 2009 @ 1:36 am
I’ve been waiting for this with great anticipation, but I have to be honest and say I am not that impressed. Maybe the expectation is already too high because your past videos are so good, or maybe rogue has evolved into such a cheesy class that a lot of survivability and factor of winning is dependent upon the successful use of vanish. I can see that you put in a lot effort in collecting the clips and with the cinematic work, and they are awesome. But I was kind of waiting to see fights like the opening scene in Eviscerate IIX and the rogue/pally jump-grenade-vanish-cheapshot fight in Eviscerate IX, yet none in this video is as exciting as those; and those scenes are what differentiate your video from some no-name-good-skill rogues. The content could not keep my attention as it progressed. I know a lot of it is due to the fact that nobody’s around for world PVP and class balance has changed a lot in WOTLK.
To digress a little here. Recently 2 of the most interesting videos I’ve seen are Hydra 7 and Xmo & Uck mage/lock. Not a lot of fancy editing, some humor content, a lot skill and synergy with teammates. You have a totally different style, but it would be more interesting to see more of how your cooperation and synergy with your teammates winning instead of individual talent in your future arena videos.

It was decent with a good intro. I don’t know it just felt like it lacked some arena. I mean world pvp and bg is nothing special. The duels were good tho. Maybe try only duels in the video like Curse did and add something new, if you don’t want arena clips in Eviscerate.
Comment by Unraveling — December 24, 2009 @ 2:38 am
Just excellent. I was a little afraid that one day i’ll download Eviscerate X and hear tecno or trance in it, but you did well by choosing soundtrack just as good as it was in “Aeias & Akrios”. Well deserved congratulations, Akrios-san!

I like how it felt kind of old school, but still new. It’s so nice to finally see something that isn’t just a bunch of arena clips. There was also a lot of variety, duels against really good players, but also the random ownage.
@ MrWise. You call yourself a “WoW movie critic” and you tell Akrios to get a life? It made me giggle.

Loved it Akrios, loved the variety of opponents, especially those epic feral duels. Yes, i would have liked more variety in music, but i don’t hate metallica. I just have to say to Mrwise comment # 33 that akrios dueled some of the best players in game. Almost every class was a gladiator, famous, or member of an amazing guild like sup fresh our turn baby. This video showcased skill in both play and editing, so i don’t know how you can say this is the worst eviscerate vid so far.

I thought the content was alright, not anywhere near your best or what your capable of doing but man the progression since fighting neilyo has really shown alot, i mean, you really did learn alot from him and if i must say excelled past him in some aspects…maybe because his M.I.A or not publishing any videos these days so it looks that way anyway…
I feel the music you use in some of your previous vids are one of the best i’ve ever heard on a pvp movie and i was kinda hoping you’d stick with suprising us…Longest road for e.g was an amazing song and it literally suited your playstyle immaculately. But the song choice imo didnt really cut it
Comment by Derek — December 24, 2009 @ 12:37 pm
There’s nothing wrong with metallica one of the greatest bands :> maybe 1 song would be enough tho

After I saw it, I gave u 5/5. Pro editing, skill, oponents. Although Im not big metalica fan I must admit that metal, rock etc. music is usually best choice for world PvP vid. Last rog vs rog duel was just epic IMO. I cant even imagine how much effort did u and Bsnaff put in it, great work.

Well by the point I look at this – it’s only decent work.Im aware of the time and effort it took you and Bizzle to make this movie. Eviscerate X really has few moments worth to see but worthless fillers, prolonged bit with druid, mediocre music and dull editing doesnt cut it for me. Calling it dull because it didnt catch my eye, maybe its not suppose to but, imo, that could have been the touch it needed.Nevertheless keep the movies rollin’. Merry X-mas n’ Happy New Year!

Quitted months ago, but still been dailychecking roguerogue to see if you’d have finished the movie. Thanks for those last 45min of wow. Awesome vid, as expected, and very nice editing.
People complaining about the movie should realize that wow’s not on the Vurtne era anymore. The game is widely broken and imho, this video/gameplay is as good as it gets, at least from a rogue pov.
Thanks for the guides and articles you’ve posted along the way, too. This site and EJ have been the most important references any rogue should need to understand and try to master the class’ mechanics.
Moving on … not much left to see here ^^

Well, it was still pretty jaw-droppingly skilled in places, but my enjoyment was definitely hampered by the music (not to my personal taste at all, but that may just be me) and the outdated nature of many of the clips (Pre-WoTF/Envenom spec)
Comment by Oshi — December 24, 2009 @ 11:44 pm
@jack #115 > And those duels were great, but they were mixed in with complete garbage- like the first battleground clip, just complete rubbish, I’ve seen better from ’somethingawf’- and he just has so many of these complete shit clips EVERYWHERE in the movie to make it as long and boring as possible. And not a single arena clip, maybe he gets problems when there’s more than a simple duel to accomplish.

First.Why Sony always mounted?

Third.I always dueling versus rogue, but i always loosing duel(i have problem with rogues and Frost mages)Can you write some week points of rogues?”
Those I can answer.
First: Because that way if there isn’t crippling poison applied in some random RNG bullshit, you can still ride away and get the charge, or he could be moving around to try and jump off mount and shout to pull out of stealth.
Second: It wasn’t a paladin, it was a mob.
Third: Check the new rogue v rogue guide he made. Or just stop being the bad rogue.

EviscerateX is not the best of your videos.
- Trance music fits a lot more to your playstyle.
- Fights with dozens of bad opponents are dull.
- 10 min fights with good opponents are dull.
- Bizzlesnaff’s part is dull and stupid as always.
Only good thing was rogue-rogue duels :/
And it is not your fault, it’s just because World of Warcraft PvP is very messy and stupid, until it comes to arena, where the team coordination is important.
Make more arena movies
Comment by suddenly — December 26, 2009 @ 5:07 am
[...] Other than the opponents listed on my site, none of the PvP in this video was prearranged. Everything else was random world PvP occurrences or Battleground occurrences. Filmed between late season 5 and season 7. I started working around April and Bizzle started his editing in September to give you an idea of what went into it. (Read more) [...]

The Metallica reminded me a lot of old-school PvP videos in the vein of Roguecraft. If you’d swapped around some of the bands a little, like a Megadeth or G&R song in there, half of these “OMG METTARICA SUCKZ” comments would have been gone. Didn’t bother me, though, the music score was *lovely* for an old metalhead like me.
That said, I really enjoyed this video. Not only did you do some amazing shit (I still have trouble getting a Vanish Sap to work), but you’re still pushing the envelope in rogue, err, film, what with the intro and cutscenes by Bizzlesnaff. Jaw dropping, lovely, lovely work,.

Comment by mikeyy — December 29, 2009 @ 1:48 am
Well first I must say GREAT JOB on this vid, your skills are still amazing, despite the fact that Wotlk PvP makes it harder to really shine for a rogue, for instance vs. multiple opponents.
Duels against rogues et warlocks are, in my opinion, the best and most interesting, as both classes can deal an amazing amount of damage in a few seconds, making reactivity and prediction the keys to the encounter.
I must say that I was a bit disappointed about the World PvP part, which is less a critic against your vid than against what WoW is nowadays. I remember some of your previous videos with really nice world pvp situations. They really should add an area like Quel’Danas Isle, where you can get some nice World PvP.
I’m not a big fan, but I like Metallica, but, as many people said before, I don’t think this music really fits with your playstyle, or a rogue’s playstyle in general. But it didn’t prevent me from appreciating the content of the video. You said you wanted to make this video for you and not for others, that you wanted to be proud of your work, so I’m ok with your music choices, and it’s up to people to mute the music and put whatever music they want.
Still about the sound part, I just regret that you didn’t implement WoW sounds. I don’t know if it was in one of your previous vids, but I remember some rogue vids where the guy put “key” sounds, like the Cheap shot sound, or KS, mutilate, and so on. It makes the vid more lively, more aggressive, I think that would have add something good to your vid. But it’s more a detail.
Well, in a word, this is BY FAR THE GREATEST ROGUE VIDEO I HAVE SEEN IN MONTHES. I hope it’s not the last (by I hope it won’t take that long for you to release another one
).
Best regards,
baruch
Comment by baruch — December 29, 2009 @ 3:05 am
A great demonstration of skill, but very little entertainment value. As much as I love Metallica, it really added to the repetitiveness of the movie. When coupled with the duels, it became so repetitive that it was no longer enjoyable to watch. If it was possible for you to upload an alternative soundtrack, it wouldn’t be a bad idea.

Hi Akriios
I have a question
DO u play atm at Abyssal WoW?….
Comment by abyssal — January 2, 2010 @ 12:24 pm
Given all the effort that went into it it’s a real shame that t was ruined by two simple things
- bad music ( or at least repetative music)
- length
if the best moments of this video were cut togeather to make a 20 min long movie with some good tunes ( trance really suits your play IMO but anything to make it varied and interesting) you would have an amazing movie. U should just recut it and make a truly awesome movie.
Comment by Sifoo — January 2, 2010 @ 1:58 pm
wtb trance
Comment by mcluvin — January 9, 2010 @ 2:08 pm
I just typed a book and had it erased…. >.< So here it is paraphrased.
-The length was too long, anything over 20 or 25 min starts to kill interest.
-The long ass drood fight bored me to death and made me want to turn it off.
-Music was fine, even using the same artist was fine. But again, the length PLUS the same music was repetitive.
-I miss the sound bites that you used in previous videos (laughing, cheapshot, stealth)
-I wished, at some points, I could put it in slow motion to really soak in what was going on. Especially when the music allows it
-I love it when you speed up the video to skip the boring parts. IE. 99% of the drood fight.
-I like when you zoom in to direct attention, especially to the health bars, it adds suspense.
-The best clips IMO were of the rogue. Catching him say "wtf" was priceless, the video needs more of that subtle humor. To reiterate, in another video, you were fighting in AB and instead of the ally helping his team mate, he danced with you. That was perfect.
-The beginning "movie" lost me completly. Yes, the eye candy was great, but I found it pointless. Maybe continue it later on in the video. (finish, continue, end, whatever…) This would also help break up the video and make it less repetitive.
-As a suggestion, add timestamps to the opponents list and song list. IE. Artist/Song: 2:31-5:26
-Your skill as a rogue is amazing, you've deffinitely improved.

I think thats the best (rogue) movie I ever seen since I started playing World of Warcraft(4years ago)! Your choice of music is really excellent (I love Metallica). The editing, I think Iam aphasic! I love the intro machinima in conjunctiion to that Marco Beltrami music! (btw awesome film by James Mangold)
Your skill of making movies and playing rogue is amazing! You really got better since Evi 9 (you really owned in Evi 9 but you’ve improved your skill for sure!)
Thank you for that great movie! Looking forward to read some news and maybe get some information about .. er maybe Evi 11

So I followed what you said and you said it was “Marco Beltrami – Bible Study” but I searched and it’s actually “Marco Beltrami – Who let the cows out”
Just making sure that you will know about the problem, and hope that it will be fixed, just trying to help with whatever I can.
