Spec

I play the standard mutilate prep, which can be found on our spec page here.

Gear

I use as much PvE gear as possible (I think 70 resil) for 2v2. I use about 500 resil, 3600 ap 31 crit for 3s. I go max resil for 5s (I have about 850). If you want to know why I use PvE gear here is why.

Edited using Sony Vegas 8.0 and Fraps.

If you have questions, I’m not answering in game tells. Send me an email at feedback@roguerogue.com, and I will get back to you when I can (I’ll be out of town for a couple of days so don’t worry if I don’t answer right away).

Thanks as always for watching.

New 25 Man raid in 3.2

In the next major content patch, the construction of the Crusaders’ Coliseum on the Argent Tournament grounds will be complete, and it will hold new challenges for players. We’d like to share some details on the new dungeon, which represents the next tier of content for the game, but keep in mind that this is still in development and subject to change. The Crusaders’ Coliseum will include:

  • New epic 10- and 25-player raid dungeon with five encounters, with each encounter being unlocked one week at a time
  • A more intuitive structure for harder encounters. This raid dungeon will have four different versions: 10-player, 25-player, 10-player Heroic, and 25-player Heroic, with each one using a separate lockout.
  • Introduction of the Crusaders’ Tribute! Each of the Heroic mode instances has a new tribute system that will limit players on the number of attempts they get in the Coliseum each week to present a greater challenge for the most battle-hardened heroes. Additional rewards can be earned depending on the number of attempts left in the tribute run each week when the final boss is defeated.
  • New 5-player dungeon with three encounters that will include Champion’s Seals as each one is defeated
  • New tier of armor and weapons that are modeled with Alliance- or Horde-specific themes
  • Tournament Realm Back up

The Arena Tournament Realm is now available for everyone that previously registered for the 2009 World of Warcraft Arena Tournament.

Please check back here for the any updates to the Arena Tournament Realm Status.

That’s a cool change for those of us who paid for TR. Not sure about the motivation to play arena there, but making premades and playing and meeting people from other realms is always a fun break if you’re bored on live.

    Profession Changes

When the next major content patch launches we will be introducing epic quality gems and updating the perks for each profession. Please keep in mind that any of this information may see further changes before the patch launches.

The design recipes for cutting epic gems will be made available for purchase with Dalaran Jewelcrafter’s Tokens and there are several ways to obtain raw epic gems:

    • Prospecting Titanium Ore
    • Alchemy transmutations
    • Purchased with Honor
    • Purchased with Emblems of Heroism

Coinciding with the implementation of epic gems and the gain that Blacksmiths will receive through their perk from these new gems, we have gone through all of the perks in every profession and increased their values to match up accordingly.

    Alchemy

    • The Mixology benefits from Northrend elixirs and flasks have been increased
    • Added a new pattern for Flask of the North, usable by players with a high alchemy skill. The recipe is purchased from the honor potion vendor. The Flask of the North increases your spell power, attack power, or Strength for 1 hour, and is usable in arenas. It is not consumed when used.
    • Endless Healing Potion and Endless Mana Potion no longer usable in arenas. Amount of health and mana has been increased, and the cooldown reduced. They are still usable everywhere else.

    Blacksmithing

    • No changes will be made to this profession; it will continue to have the 2 additional prismatic sockets (which can hold the new epic gems)

    Enchanting

    • Values on Northrend ring enchants increased

    Engineering

    • Increased benefits from Hyperspeed Accelerators, Hand-Mounted Pyro Rocket, and Reticulated Armor Webbing glove modifications
    • Embroideries improved

    Herbalism

    • Increased healing from Lifeblood (Rank 6)
    • Lifeblood now scales slightly with maximum health
    • Lifeblood no longer affected by global cooldown

    Inscription

    • Master’s Inscriptions increased

    Jewelcrafting

    • Dragon’s Eye gems stat bonuses increased

    Leatherworking

    • Fur Lining values increased

    Mining

    • Toughness (Rank 6) provides more Stamina

    Skinning

    • Master of Anatomy (Rank 6) provides more critical strike rating

    Tailoring

  • Embroideries improved
  • So it’s pretty safe to assume that most (more…)

Saw this vid yesterday and I thought it was pretty entertaining. Not much in the way of editing at all, and I wasn’t a big fan of the rated arena clips, but the 1vn arena and duels were entertaining and 1vn arena isn’t something you see too often. Music was pretty emo so if that’s a problem for you just be warned. Overall good watch imo, worth checking.

Video Updates, thoughts on Isle of Conquest

    Saturday, June 13th, 2009

Well I’ll start by talking about Eviscerate X (10), a continuation of the series I left off in TBC.

When I last talked about this video it was in February. I can’t be specific about how far progressed I am at this point, because I don’t want to set any specific date for release. As I said last time I talked about this, in the past I’ve regretted rushing video production in the past and I’m standing by that. I’m trying my best to keep only the best clips for this video.

When I talk about getting quality scenes, I can kind of refer to Garthd’s recent video. Yes, I can find 1v1’s at the hodir dailies against players that die in a stun lock, but these are the kind of clips I immediately trash. I mean no offense to him because he’s a good player and I liked his past videos, but this video is a good example of exactly what I want to avoid and why I’m taking so long. Conversely, watching Gforce really gives me hope, kind of showing that 1v1 can still be epic and entertaining.

Unfortunately, world PvP is extremely difficult to find. When I started I thought, even though Cho’gall is bereft of alliance (about 8000 horde 80s, 1000 alliance 80s), I could go to the alliance if they won’t come to me by doing a lot of city PvP. While it’s still possible, Blizzard has made it so that when you attack anyone within a city, a guard immediately attacks you, making city PvP very difficult (especially as a rogue, because this takes away re-stealths). Not only that, as a rogue you lose the opener in city PvP because alliance has to attack you to flag themselves. Daily hub PvP isn’t what it used to be because every daily area has flying mounts (wtb Isle of Quel’Danas scenario).

I know it’s going to be a while, but I am making progress, however slow. Here’s what you can expect. Expect grenades. Expect health pots. Expect Metallica. Expect duels against the best players I can find. Expect bg 1vns. Expect world pvp 1vns. Even if this kind of video is dead, I’m not giving up and I will finish it eventually. It is still a while away though.

    Arenas Vol. VI

I didn’t realize it but I should have enough clips for another arena video within the next week or two. Basically my process with these arena videos is that I just to fraps all the arena I do, go through them every so often and hang on to the clips I think are entertaining. Every few months I have enough to make a video, so once I do I edit them on and off for about a week and put it out. This series will probably focus a lot more on arena than duels from now on as I’m going to start saving and setting up most frapsed 1v1 with Eviscerate X in mind. You can expect this arena vid in the next week or two.

    Isle of Conquest

Blizzard will be releasing a new BG in the next content patch. More information can be found here.

This BG seems pretty interesting, somewhat of an updated AV. It will also be the first to introduce (more…)
