Here are the new pve rogue armor sets for 3.2
Here are the set bonuses:
- Rogue T9 2P Bonus (Rupture) (Class: Rogue) — Your Rupture ability has a chance each time it deals damage to reduce the cost of your next ability by 40 energy.
- Rogue T9 4P Bonus (Hemorrhage, Sinister Strike, Backstab, and Mutilate) (Class: Rogue) — Increases the critical strike chance of your Hemorrhage, Sinister Strike, Backstab, and Mutilate abilities by 5%.
Clearly they have PvE in mind with these sets, and the set bonuses are clear on that, simply because how often do you keep a steady rupture rotation in pvp. The 4 piece is nice all around, simple but good, especially as mut with both hands gaining 5 percent crit on a mutilate.

Do you know for sure if that is the correct dungeon->ilvl assignment or are you speculating that? Cause where is the 10Heroic tier then?
Comment by Mixcoatl — June 24, 2009 @ 10:27 am
what do you think about the sockets? 4 blue, 3 red and no yellow. kinda weird isn’t it?

And i will bet my right nut that the 2p bonus will stay 4ever. Why they gonna nerf something that is totally regular..
“Rogue T9 2P Bonus (Rupture) (Class: Rogue) — Your Rupture ability has a CHANCE each time it deals damage to reduce the cost of your next ability by 40 energy.” chance like wt? 10%? 50%??
That’s the kind of thing u need to know to say this bonus will be redesigned/removed/nerfed. ;D
Anyway. Looks like a pretty awesome pve set.
Comment by Nydjer — June 24, 2009 @ 11:16 am
wow,i bet the chance will be like 2% ?

IMO the 2 piece bonus would be much nicer if it restored 3 energy every time rupture ticked rather than RNG free specials

I’m going to miss the rupture crit tick bonus. It made rupture absolutely awesome. I think it should be redesigned to always have a chance to crit (if not at the normal melee %, at least at the spell/poison %).
With it’s current ability to crit, it makes using rupture viable on shorter fights/trash mobs instead of only being useful on long boss fights. I’ll be sad to move on from this set bonus

The stats have gone from a haste-pve standpoint and are now looking to be a viable set for arenas and pvp. I already use as much pve gear as possible so the buff to these stats is a godsend, especially since the resil buffs are gonna hurt our dmg.

The taken haste from the set will kill alot of our dps due to lose in auto attack = lose in Focus attack procs = energy loss to do specials. HOWEVER if you are not expertise capped the expertise may help u gain those dodged auto attacks and the armor pen may help u do more over all damage. Really hard decision.

I was looking for crucial information on this subject. The information was important as I am about to launch my own portal. Thanks for providing a missing link in my business. Breathing techniques are all some women need, so take a class if you want to try that.
