Stealth Nerf to Nitro Boots the Death of Engineering? How I fixed my ping

posted by Akrios on May 20th, 2009

After several attempts to balance the Nitro Boots ability in the arena, we have decided that we currently do not have an acceptable solution. Until we are able to better balance this ability it has been shut down in the arenas. We fully plan to continue working on this item and we intend to adjust it in upcoming patches.

Now I can understand that Blizzard has to constantly make moves to adjust professions. As game balance changes so must profession balance; how strong each profession is relative to both PvE and PvP. That being said, this nerf to the nitro boots tinker that happened to get left from the patch notes is completely ridiculous.

First things first, I know that from a PvP perspective there is a lot more to this game than arena. That being said, arena is the centerpiece for PvP balance in this game. This is due to a few things: world pvp is basically non-existant, battlegrounds are essentially for honor farming and have lost their competitive spirit, wintergrasp is a joke and has nothing to do with pvp balance, and blizzard has repeatedly stated that the game isn’t to be balanced around 1v1. Therefore, we have to assume that when blizzard balances proffessions with PvP in mind, they do this around arena. At least you’d think that, until you hear ignorant blue posts like this:

I wasn’t aware that engineering consisted entirely of one schematic. I was under the misinformed position that it was actually a collection of interesting “gadgets” or explosives.

The gadgets useful in some very diverse ways, but no items that could entirely change the balance of the game.

The bombs useful in pretty much any situation you wished to do additional damage.

Neither the bombs nor the gadgetry were as simple as pure stats. All had some other trick to them which require skill, timing and understanding to use effectively.

Source

With this unannounced nerf, last week’s nerf to goggles (which from a rogue perspective was logically a buff, but still a nerf from an engineers perspective, but I digress) it’s hard as an engineer to think blizzard isn’t biased against the profession. This response from blue is completely irrelevant to arena. I refuse to believe that blizzard would plan this nerf, unannounced, and have it only apply to arena if they didn’t agree that arena balance is tantamount to PvP balance. That makes this post pretty inexplicable, talking about bombs that are not usable in arena, and too expensive to be used in other situations. This guy doesn’t seem to realize that what people are angry about is the removal of one profession from arena and the underhanded way it was removed.

Engineering now offers very little from any perspective. For PvP, the glove haste or rockets are mediocre at best as “the best things the profession has to offer”. From a PvE perspective, engineering tinkers are inferior to the best enchants available. So not only do you get extremely little for PvP, you also get essentially nothing for PvE. Engineering provides some fun tricks, but an entire profession providing a few fun, expensive tricks that you can use only once in a while is extremely underwhelming.

What about the other professions and what they provide in arena? I don’t think you can say that nitro boots were better than jewelcrafting or enchanting’s statistical upgrades in every situation before this nerf. Was nitro boots a powerful enchant? Yes, absolutely. Was it out of balance when compared against other professions? I would argue it was right where it should be. Engineering is clearly designed as a pvp profession, if you’re serious about PvP it was a good idea to level it. Nitro boots were nice, they helped with mobility slightly for less mobile classes (the ones who will really feel this nerf), but they could also backfire or be countered with an immediate snare in reaction to the boots. They were only effective when not snared and usually could only be used once an arena. Good? Yes. Overpowered? No.

Maybe removing glove tinkers and all other engineering advantages usable in arena would have been fine, but this move is equivalent to removing ring enchants for arena, and doing it without releasing it to patch notes. I really feel bad for those that leveled engineering and dumped thousands of gold into a dead profession.

How I Fixed my Ping

Now before you do anything, read this. Someone showed me how to do this. I have no idea how it works, I have no idea about registries. I am simply relaying information and I can tell you that it has thus far worked for me without a problem. This is by no means new information and it’s been around for years, but I had really forgotten about it until maybe a month ago. You make these changes at your own risk and I really can’t help you beyond what’s being said here. To make this clear, I don’t know how this works, I just know that it worked for me. People asked me to post it so here it is, use at your own risk.

About two months ago my latency was anywhere from 180-250. My current latency is anywhere from 40-90. I was under the impression that the “ping fix” from years back had been made irrelevant by some blizzard changes, but I was corrected. Here are the steps I took.

Go to Start

Go to Run

Type in: regedit

Expand the following folders fromt he explorer on the left (or see image below)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

SYSTEM

CurrentControlSet

Services

Tcpip

Parameters

Interfaces

Now, right click on the first folder in interfaces.

Go to ‘new’

Click on DWORD value

Rename this value to: TcpAckFrequency

Right click this and click on Modify

Change the ‘Value Data’ to: 1

Do the same for each of the folders in Interfaces

Restart your computer

After that, hopefully things should be improved some. Hope this helps.

  2. I absolutely agree here. As a pure pvper I seldom have more than a few hundred gold, and all the hard work I spent with dailies leveling engineering seems to have gone for nothing. It’s a dead proffesion more or less were arena is concerned. Jewelcrafting and enchanting seems to be greater than my current engineering/enchanting proffs. Enjoyed roguerogue.com from its creation and look forward to more, good luck on Eviscerate 10 ! world pvp is impossible to find \o/ working on a movie myself this season and it looks like world pvp will be hard to find! 11. Just as a reminder: The ping fix might lower your other browsing/download rates. Which I believe no one cares as long as WoW is running good :P

Just to keep that in mind in case someone notices.

Rustik: Yes, It works with Vista. (x32 & x64)

Regarding the nerf/buff: I can tell you both sides of the story since I have 2 Rogues (1 Ally and 1 Horde) on the same server with diff. accts. My Ally is used mainly for PvE and some PvP and my horde is mainly for PvP. I do have Engi on the horde one and it really hurt, the nerf bat did hit right in the kisser on this one. Although, for my Ally Rogue, it was awesome since he’s human and now I got that “little” advantage.

I do agree they should’ve left Engi as a PvP oriented profession, but oh well, its not like we can cry about it all day. Blizzard ppl are mostly stuck up/money whores who don’t care and just spit out explanations about things they do, but what they really care is that you keep on paying the damn fees. So… just keep paying, nothing will change lol.

  15. While blizzard didn’t have an excuse to Nerf our boots there is a post saying they where going to “re-work” engineering and to not go and vendor our boots yet…

We will see if they actually keep their word…

    Comment by ipwnkidneys — May 20, 2009 @ 1:29 pm

  16. Ya I’m gonna wait until I hear what they’re doing to buff the boots to compensate for this BS before I drop it. It’s like, as all the other profs, you get all these extra stat boosts, and engi, you get……a rocket, woo.

I guess I’ll go herbing for the hot that can be used while stealthed. At least that’s a nice usable ability that helps survivability similar to how engineering used to (is supposed to) work.

  21. Honest question: Do you think that a few % crit and a few hundred extra attack power would make the difference between winning and losing arena battles?

The whole point here is that engineers took the stats rape for the _utility_. Now, engineers have no usable utility, AND are significantly behind on stats.

Honest answer – yes, this nerf is costing many teams points, and not because the utility of boots was OP, but it’s not like we get a free 450 enchanting or JC replacement to give us DPS to replace our lost utility, we get flat out nothing (for the moment).

    Comment by GARFIELD — May 20, 2009 @ 2:43 pm

  24. I’ve been doing the latency for a few months now. Been great. Lowered my average ms by about 20-30. The boots nerf is kinda wtf imo, considering no other professions got anything like it. Alchemists get to use a potion, why cant that be taken out too?

    Comment by Centh — May 20, 2009 @ 3:30 pm

  25. I’m sorry you were misinformed about the other professions, but the “stats rape” you are talking about is 64ap for most professions or 32 crit rating for LW (0.7% crit). You can make a case that JC is worth anywhere from 80-100ap for PvE, but for PvP it’s not going to be worth more than 80ap.

And you’re right, a few percent crit and hundreds of ap would make quite a difference in many games.

But anyway, that’s just it. Goggles + Boost + Hand Rocket >>> 64ap, to the point that arena is being balanced around a single profession.

    Comment by slartisla — May 20, 2009 @ 3:39 pm

  26. Alright, I was forgetting about forgoing alternative gear/enchants, so it’s definitely more than 64ap.

More like, 150ap in the end.

    Comment by slartisla — May 20, 2009 @ 3:43 pm

  27. The nerf is fine.

Engineering (at the moment) is not fine.

When it becomes completely necessary to use a single profession to excell in PvP, something is wrong. Anyone who beleives that the other professions have large stat boosts, they are wrong. The stats boosts are marginally better than the base.

Engineering previously granted a complete, easily usable bonus move that worked incredibly well when used correctly, and could become a gamebreaker in certain situations.

Yes, it can be snared. But the fact that a class has to snare yet another ability is what sets it off. It’s not like there’s an “anti-nitro boost” button accessible to all classes. A druid would have to roots you, either blowing a DR, unsnaring the current target, or both. A mage would have to waste a precious nova cooldown. All classes also have some form of CC to negate it.

So either way, you gain a foot up by having this ability. By CCing it, your opponent wastes a CC or DR, and by not doing so, you get a free, short boost to the pillar or enemy of your choice.

    Comment by Plethorix — May 20, 2009 @ 4:31 pm

  28. I agree completely with you Akrioss. Especially since I use goggles AND nitro boosts it is absolutely redicilous that Blizzard has nerf these items. I leveled engineering for one specific purpose: TO PVP!

Now it seems as though that Blizz is going down hill from here. I don’t see how Nitro boosts can be see anywhere near overpowered…it has alredy been nerfed a bunch of times. And as for the goggles…if I bother to pay money to lvl engineering to 440 and pay 1000g for the mats to make the goggles, I should sure as hell be able to use them to the best of their ability. Blizz has obviously now taken that away from us as well. I am so close to quitting this game…

  30. The trick to fix your ping really does work. To explain it simply; it changes your IP to a set standard IP adress and will always use that -one- IP. Now if you’re in a house using several different computers (family members, whatever) then this will most likely either cause frequent disconnects or even more lag. So if you’ve only got one computer in your household use it. If not, I’d strongly suggest you not to try this, as it’s frustrating to find out the hard way what’s going wrong with your connection.

    Comment by Lavz — May 20, 2009 @ 5:49 pm

  31. a warning about your solution to wow lag

what you are doing is tuning a dial that belongs to the part of windows that handles the tcp stack (for noobs: roughly equivalent to “the internet’s messages”).

by default, it’s tuned towards being a moderate setting to handle most types of traffic. traffic can take very different shapes, from a large direct download from a single site, to many concurrent smaller streams such as in bittorrent. to make a comparison, it’s defaulted to be a jeep and be prepared for most driving surfaces, as opposed to a formula f1 that needs a clear and open track, or a dunebuggy thats prepared to drive the sahara desert and steep inclines. in tuning this dial, you are adjusting yourself for wow-type traffic, and will likely suffer when your formula f1 has to drive in sandy bittorrent.

not a decision to take lightly, and not something to set and forget if you run into issues down the line. still potentially worthwhile for the hardcore, as it will commonly drive average pings down from 200 to 30 so i hear. i believe that the blues were once against it and supposedly issued a “patch”, but backtracked on that, with the correct assertion that there isn’t much they can do about it, as it’s not a part of wow so much as an inherent operating system setting.

patching vista works too, but as they are diff operating systems, there are different actions to take, and setting the xp registy setting accomplishes nothing. some outdated sources will claim you need a hotfix (and refer you to dubious download-sources for those patches that are not microsoft.com and i highly advise against ever using) that has since been rolled up into a service pack and any updated vista can skip that step and do the latter part of the vista instructions.

still, 95% of people shouldn’t be doing this because they have other purposes for their computers. i host a small website on my wow comp so it’s absolutely out of the question.

Omg engineering has one useful thing OMG NERF TIME….

I guess it is all part of blizzard master plan to make everyone in the game convert to JC/BS so they can have huge benefits in pvp and pve..

  35. When i heard about this change all I could to was lol. Now arena will be a place where skill is required instead of using an item that not everyone can get (bar leveling engineering). Now no one will be able to escape the grip of a warrior’s hamstring. You want to make arena balanced with nitro boots in them? Then give every crafting profession the opportunity to make them.

    Comment by Vix — May 20, 2009 @ 8:52 pm

  36. The ping fix is disabling Nagle’s Aglorithm. Briefly Nagle clumps tiny packets together to make a decent sized lump to send across the net in more efficent transmission, i.e. more data at a time… what you’re doing is just allowing the tiny packets to go as soon as they’re ready. This reduces your effective bandwidth but decreases your ping.

  39. Had engineering back in Vanilla on my 60 Rogue (Imo is the perfect prof for a Rogue or Hunter) on my 1st server (PvP) and frankly mining was the only thing that kept me 1/2 way funded. Back then only thing that sold was scopes and quest items and not that frequently. I was never that great at PvP and rerolled non-rogue on a PvE server. Rogues have to be one of the most hated and under-appreciated classes in this game and engineering has always been a black hole that you put your gold in that never returns. You guys are due for buffs, maybe one day I will reroll back to the class.

  40. Little kid cries over someone getting his toy away. Proper use of nitro boots wins games, a few stats here and there don’t. That is the main problem generally with engineering tricks and gadgets and the main reason why is so hard to balance the profession. If people can’t get that then I believe are on the same boat of people that thought DKs and Rets were fine at the launch of WotLK.

You can outplay a bit more AP or Stamina or Crit or whatever but you cant’ outplay people who are running to the other side of the map, escaping your set up kill and resetting fights due to just one engineering gadget. I believe Akrios can share the info with us about how many times he won fights as Rogue / Mage just by properly using his boots? Is it fair that the final verdict was based on the nitro boots? Do you know any other profession that wins games by just pressing a button at the right time?

How would you people react if say J/C had an exclusive cc trinket that uses a gem, which reflects sunlight on the opponent and blinds them for x secs? Would it be fair? Professions should give just some stats boosts here and there not escaping abilities or oh shit buttons like the nitro boots were.

  47. My god what a lot of qq.
While i believe engineers HAVE had it hard and bad in wrath, the loss of one item in Arena is not what the VAST majority of players are bothered about.
Everything in the whole dam game seems to be ‘balanced’ around arena. Balanced meaning in this case, Blizz are going to try something else, and nurf whoever/whatever they fancy, reguardless of their previously stated philosophy/intentions.
Learn to suck it up and be adaptable, after all thats what you PVP’ers say your best at, as PVE is ‘boring and scripted’. So now you have a chance to show how good and adaptable you are, and you…..whine like spoilt brats.
Try some CONSTRUCTIVE critecism, because noone is going to pay any attention to ‘oh no my fav toy is broken’. Try to put in HOW its broken, WHY its broken, WHAT can be done to fix it (without being OP), if their are alternatives, etc etc. Its not that hard, and its a LOT better than just moaning about it.
You never know, some Blue may actually be reading this, and if all he sees is whining, then he will pay no notice. If he sees a well balanced post, with facts figures and potential fixes, he may well take that on board and look at it. But this blog….well all i can say is i though mages posts were bad, but you lot have capped them, so come on guys/gals, buck your ideas up and start thinging and posting real ideas.

(BTW yeah i was slightly harsh, i was trying to get your attention, hope it worked and didnt offend too many people)

    Comment by Sinthar — May 21, 2009 @ 2:06 am

  48. I saw this nerf to engineering comming a loooong time ago.

Arena is the only place where players can fight to eachother honestly regardless of using pots, scrolls, gadgets or professions.

First Aid for example, is something everything can get from level 1 to level 80 and should cost you nothing. However cooking is much harder to level and in order to get the top food, you need much more then first aid. This is why food is out of the question in arena and first aid isnt. Arena is about eliminating factors that give you a lead in a balanced way.

Arena is a pure fight between classes, race and skills. At the highest ratings, every player should have the proper gear, equivelent to one an other. I mean, you wont see a blue geared rogue in 2000+ right? So, this factor between winning and losing isnt that big at all. Equivelent teams (gear) vs Equivelent teams (gear) in the blizzard designed arena matchmaking system.

Jewelcrafting and Enchanting give some buffs (relative), but these are not buffs that make you win or give you a big advantage that breaks the game. Engineering is game breaking in a way. How many post have I read about rogues who get engineering for the goggles, boots and rockets? Almost every high rated team should get engineering in order to eliminate the lead factor other players with engineering had. This is wrong. There are no items from other professions that can do this or counter it.

Races have some advantages aswell. For example, humans have perception, blood elves have a silence. This could be game breaking, but each race has his own advantages and disadvantages. You learn to play with it and this is where skills are important (same thing for classes, as a rogue you learn how to get as much movability as you can and as a mage you learn how to stay away from your target etc.). You cant learn how to use any profession except engineering to your advantage. I cant think of anything else that gives an advantage like engineering. All the other professions give some +stats buffs.

Engineering was once useless. It was fun to have, but never it was usefull. It has been buffed in TBC and been buffed further in Wrath. However a bit too buffed for the use in arena, so blizzard nerfes it. An idea is to simply remove the use of the engineering items in arena. In return, the boots will give some stats equivelent to for example enchanting or jewelcrafting. This brings the lead factors again to 0. So skills, classes, and race have a bigger meaning once again.

I’m done now. Was this constructive enough?

    cheers

  53. So hang on. You’re saying out one side of your mouth that bonus A from profession A is ridiculous, but out the other side that bonus B from clicking race B when you created your character isn’t? You claim that racials aren’t balanced (which we all agree they’re not), but good PVPers adapt. Then you claim that good PVPers can’t adapt to a 2 second sprint? You claim that an AOE silence racial is different, but viable and somewhat balanced compared to shadowmeld or EMFH+perception. Advantages and disadvantages you say. How about troll racial, anyone? Point is, this is as unbalanced as it gets, and you see no issue working around this. Why do you feel that engineering needs to be singled out here?

Many of the posters here seem to believe that boost is OP because the user of it can gain 2 seconds of high mobility, at the cost of what some of you believe is paltry stats. Used correctly, I agree – it IS powerful. OP? Hell no.

On the other hand, you same people say that gear matters – think about that for a moment. You say that no one in blues will be 2k+. What’s the difference between a blue and purple? Stat points. That’s the only difference. If you don’t believe stat points contribute to winning games, why is that everyone at the top is sporting the same gear, or at least the same gear ilvl? So engineers are dropping stat points to get what? See what I did there? If you don’t there’s no point in continuing to argue.

    >>> There are no items from other professions that can do this or counter it.

So what? Here’s a great example. My ally rogue (human) loses duels to equally skilled/geared warriors. PERIOD. If they play correctly, I lose because I can only trinket fear OR a stun. My horde rogue (undead) regularly craps all over == warriors. Why? Because I can trinket a stun AND WOTF fear.

IMO, your arguments against engineering need to be applied universally or not at all. You can’t say racials = advantages and disadvantages, but giving up stats for the utility of engineering is a different animal, these aren’t the droids you’re looking for.

You want true balance? Racials need to be removed or go to a pick 1 from a bucket of glyphs, stat bonus’ from all professions need to be ==, and all rating requirements need to be removed from gear. That would be a level playing ground.

  54. ….

    /facepunch

I just dropped 3k into engineering, as well as upwards of two months leveling it to max, mostly so that I could have the Nitro Boosts in the arena.

    ^_^ Well this sucks.

    Comment by Galeren — May 21, 2009 @ 7:48 am

  55. I think the main point here is the Engineering nerf being a stealth one. Even after they did nerf such things as the rocket gloves with the special cooldown changes. I for one, just dropped about 1k to get engineering up to make my goggles for the soul purpose of the stealth detection. Doing this willing to drop a far superior helm and set bonus for that small advantage in limited situations. One week later they are a piece of shit helm sitting in my bank rotting. Thank you Blizz really, what a fine waste of time and gold. I don’t know about everyone else but no one ever bitched to me about the use of my boots, its still the same qq about being stunned lol

PS Akrioss, keep it up. I send everyone I know to this site

    Comment by Dom — May 21, 2009 @ 12:06 pm

  56. Never heard ppl bitching over the nitro’s. Blizz is just trying to balance an item that needs absolutely no CHANGE to it. Eng is a choice to all races/classes and if ppl dont want to use it then w/e. I think this situation is ridiculous and im happy that i stopped lvl’ing this prof until further notice.

  57. ya… I quit wow yesterday. Im sick of fighting with blizzard. When it loses its fun, you gota peace the fuck out. 58. Hi Akrios I’ve got a question:
I mirrored a rogue today /w both of us starting in stealth; we both had the same stealth level (orc vs undead, cloak enchant + 3/3 MoD + 2/2 HS no jewelcrafting trinket), yet he got the opener 100% of the games but didn’t want to tell me how.
I’ve got the Sap macro from AJ and spammed it while circling around the Duel flag.
    So what’s the secret?
    Thanks in advance!

    Comment by Reflex — May 21, 2009 @ 3:21 pm

  59. if anyone said that nitro boots were op, they could just roll engi and everyones happy…its a damn profession, youre not f’ing stuck with it like a racial, that can be far more game breaking than a small boost every once in a while.
i thougt about lvling engi a while ago…i’m happy to have read this, especially with the patchnotes being quiet about this…

  60. Havn’t been in the pvp area for a long time, but I gotta agree with you on this as a former Engineer. I dumped it mid BC becouse its always been a laughable proffesion, then in LK I’ve at some points been angry at myself for removing the proffesion as it was usefull again. Nerfing the boots is just to stupid, sadly Blizzard are failing to much, probably gonna dumb down the game so we start with the new MMO instead when they release it…

  64. Increasing Nitro Boots duration to 5 seconds
That is an option we may explore. We also have several other changes to Nitro Boots in mind. We may include additional stats to making this comparable to other boot enchants. Many ideas are currently on the table and we are narrowing them down to the very best. I hope that not too many of my fellow engineers dropped the profession because of this change. Cool things are on the way. Hang in there.

For one they just got nerfed, and ok I can agree on them. The rapid charge glyph nerf was to be expected. But please look at a warriors’ and your (rogue?) damage after an arena match. And please compare the warriors’ damage to DK’s and retri’s who idd are OP to some aspects.

  76. From MMO-Champion:

    Professions
Is it really that bad to have a “best” profession? (See Jewelcrafting Nerf)

Yes, we think so. A key to games being fun is feeling like you have a choice. If you aren’t making decisions then you aren’t really playing a game — you are watching something as a viewer not participating as a player. Game design has proven over many years that when you have choice A and choice B where choice A grants more power and choice B looks cooler or grants almost any other kind of benefit, a vast majority of players will choose A. In their minds there is no choice. It has to be A. Likewise if humans were the most powerful race and mages were the most powerful class then WoW would not be very diverse. We want tradeskills to be a choice. Having a best profession means that choice does not exist. (Source)

    Jewelcrafting Nerf
All of the other professions were more or less in-line with each other but we felt Jewelcrafting with the disabling of meta-gem requirements and the easy ability to hit 3 socket bonuses on top of getting stats from the Dragon’s Eye gems put it clearly above every other profession

While there is a time to buff things, if anytime there was a balance issue and we only buffed things, the numbers would rise at a rapid rate and get out of control. There is a time to buff things, but when we feel one thing is too far ahead, it’s time for a nerf, which we know is never popular, but we feel it needs to be done. (Source)

  77. yes, warrior are “powa” beacuase they could charge you, then do ww and you can’t attack them, or they’ll kill you, you could only go away but they re-charge and they’ll kill you… rogue damage are good but the damage we take are insane,,, pala dk and warrior are plate ( AND THEY CAN HEAL)… warrior aren’t so OP?

  85. errrr as much as what u say makes sense the nitro boots contributed as racials do atm to non-class abilities, if u balance or are balancing classes u cant have X (being eng or whatso) factor in the way, if a large small or little amount of matches are changing a games balance as boots did for droods to pillar hump or what so im not sure that’s a gr8 thing (imo).

    Comment by jedz — May 24, 2009 @ 6:36 pm

  86. Well imo the boots were only OP when it came to ranged classes. How many times have u blown ur last sprint to counter a blink or disengage or demonic circle only to have your target boost away and snare you with you have no CDs or means to fight back? I play a rogue and a paladin on my rogue i can manage to counter kiting to an extent but my pally get epicly pwned by anything that has SLow,Curse of exhaustion,WIng clip + Boots.Just my opinion

    Comment by RickRoller — May 25, 2009 @ 6:26 am

  88. ill have to agree with rogue2…as a rogue-our class is based on hiding in the shadows until time to burst a target…(get in and get out quick!) much like a mage’s blink or druid cat form or any other classe’s way of getting away from something that hits like a truck(hmm..Bladestorm? WW?)rogues might do alot of damage, but they take alot more from plate wearers- i really hate to see how those clothies are taking this nerf…but to nerf a skill that takes that much time and gold to lvl specifically for pvp is rediculous…if they were to nerf something why not damage? why nerf an ability that helps to better pvp content?

    Comment by sickundead — May 25, 2009 @ 12:47 pm

  93. Well the nerf to professions I think is kinda dum because think about it engineering is a profession that everyone can work for, if you think it’s OP then drop a profession and go into engineering. and thinking balancing arena with balancing the profession is kinda dum because we all know it’s just the balance of class’s I mean look at alot of top team’s there’s a reason alot of top team’s are the same class, because of the class’s being overpowered, i mean look at druid warrior, the resto druid’s heals are so OP that me and my partner (double dps) cant even kill the druid when he prehot’s and cant focus warrior, because he can just sheild wall, you got ret’s who can burst down my 2s partner with barskin on while in boomkin for with 1k resil down in 10 sec, it’s like class’s are OP like rogue’s Pre BC now they can 2 shot people but the sad part is there cd’s are what half the cd as ours? and then they complain about rogue’s being OP? well if we kill you in our stunlock you kinda are pretty fail because our stunlock is where we have to get all the dmg in as possible before you get out of stun and can 2 shot us, just I miss BC they had way more balance there then they do now so hopefully it’ll be like BC season 1 and season 2 will be like season 5 and 6 and hopefully season 7 and 8 will be more balanced like season 3 and 4.

    I work with Vista 64bit.

    At this step,

    “Go to ‘new’

    Click on DWORD value

    Rename this value to: TcpAckFrequency…..”

    Vista show me two options:

    1. DWORD value (32bit)

    2. QWORD value (64bit)

So I think, because i use Vista 64bit (4GB RAM), i have to create the new folder with “QWORD value (64bit).

    Is it right?
