Hi (im from spain so im sorry if my english is poor)
In pve i use the macro for ToTT setting the focus on a player. This normally dont have any problem (i used it 90% of the time in the tank), but if y set the focus on a rogue combat to used the macro of ToTT taler when que used the Killings spree hability y lost that rogue form the focus . Is this a bug? anybodyelse have this situation?
I <3 this macro for parties and raids. It basically lets you ToTT your mouseover (so you don’t need to worry about setting a focus) and announces who you’re casting it on in party chat. You can also change ‘party’ to ‘raid’ if you please.
#showtooltip
/cast [target=mouseover] Tricks of the Trade
/script SendChatMessage(“Tricks of the Trade cast on “..UnitName(“mouseover”), “PARTY”, “Orcish”);
Apparently, ‘orcish’ doesn’t need to be there. But it’s working so I haven’t changed it.
Just wondering if it would be posible to create a macro to cast garrote and then automaticly cast Slice and Dice? I tried making one but Slize and Dice gets cast before the combo point from garrote has been genreated and there for fails.
One is, In stealth ambush, normal mutilate
/cast [stealth] Ambush; Mutilate
And another is, If stealthed cheap shot. If not, stealth
/cast [stealth] Cheap Shot; Stealth
And finally a nice thing to tag onto w/e macro you useing your dps trinket on is
/script PlaySoundFile(“Sound\\Creature\\CThun\\CThunYouAreAlready.wav”)
When spamming this macro it will start auto attacking your current target and while you are in combat it casts Mutilate and as soon as you get out of combat u get in to stealth.
Hey Akrios or Nition.
I am having trouble with the sap macro. If you could post another version of this macro, it help alot. I am getting tired of mashing tab and sap.

I’ve noticed many people think maintaining HfB @ 3 stacks is difficult so I have a macro suggestion (not sure if it will work the way I’m thinking, so I’d like some input).
Essentially, an easy way to maintain HfB and to renew it as late as possible would be to have it almost fall off at the same time as SnD. I realize this may not be appealing to many of you, but (I think) this would help eliminate your cycles getting mucked up.
Glyph for SnD (+3 seconds). 5 point SnD = 24 s
Add 1 talent point for improved SnD (+25%)
That would give you 30 s of SnD for a 5 point envenom renewal. Having those 6 extra seconds would also also you to get your Rupture in more frequently and make the overall process less hectic.
Then the idea would be to use a macro that will sequence envenom, then HfB.
Not sure how to write it, I’d imagine it would be something like:
/castsequence Envenom, Hunger For Blood
My question is would relentless strikes 25 energy kick in before the HfB is casted?
Obviously, you’d have to pool a little energy for this to work anyway and not spam envenom, and also account for 4 cp finishers not always granting the 25 energy for relentless strikes. If this macro worked, I would also suggest taking Quick Recovery over Fleet Flooted so that if your finisher fails you won’t get completely screwed out of your cycle.
I’d love some input on this, and whether anyone could tell me the proper way to write the macro so I can test this out.
Well…. I tested the above on a dummy and it honestly works really well. You have to hit your macro key twice using the castsequence method (not sure if there is anyway around this), which is fine by me because occasionally you need an extra second for energy regeneration in case relentless strikes fails at 4 cp (or for that matter I guess if your finisher is dodged)
Easiest way seems to be to use your envenom macro at 3 seconds or less in the SnD cycle, and pop the macro again asap to re-up your HfB. Both are set to the 30 s within a second of each other using the above-mentioned glyph + 1 talent point in improved SnD.
There is also time to get in a rupture in every cycle, which definitely allows for more constant dps. If any of you high-tier-geared guys out there once to test this spec I’d like to hear how it scales with the other typical 51-13-7 specs.
While in stealth you will pickpocket your target, cheapshot it and use your trinket. After this i prefer to attack with an additional mutilate. Usualy this grants me 4 combopionts for a finisher. All in 3 seconds
I combined Pheq’s and Happyminti’s to make it into 1 spammable macro without having Wound Poison break it and stil having it in your main hand(all the weapon swaps do is switch my main hand and off hand)

The difference is that it targets only enemy PLAYERS… meaning it won’t target pets and totems and such. Ever been in a situation spamming the macro where you actually see the rogue in stealth but you’re a bit closer to a totem? I did… and it sucked.
Which macro is it that lets you Sap someone, then cheap shot them without any risk of wound poison breaking the sap?
I saw a video a while back where someone was using a weapon switching macro to get a cheap shot in without breaking sap, then re-stealthing and opening with a Garrotte, with 5 combo points.
/cast Stealth()
/script CastShapeshiftForm(1);

You don’t even have to use a macro to Ambush > Vanish > Sap, the only thing you need to do is to have Ambush on a normal action bar (not the stealth bar) and it’d work fine.
Else, if you you want to use a macro for it you only need to have one macro (note: not on your stealth bar):
/cast ambush
/cast vanish
And simply spam your Sap ability after you’ve used it.
Quick question about the ’super preparation’ macro, would including Vanish to it have any downfalls at all? Since preparation does in fact finish the CD on Vanish as well, just wondering on your opinion.

Does anyone know how in the Cold Blood – Mutilate macro to get the button to show mutilates cool down not cold bloods ?
Ok i know this is random but i got a question. I got double berserkin on both weapons, and I played a bunch of rogues team last night. I was thinkin of gettin weapon chain. my question now is does it matter if i out it on the main hand or off hand?
Comment by Funnybonez (US-Gurubashi) — May 29, 2009 @ 11:56 am
put the weapon chain on whichever weapon is slower, so that ur faster weapon will proc its enchant more. unless the weapon speed affects the proc rates, then it shouldnt matter
Comment by Funnybonez (US-Gurubashi) — May 29, 2009 @ 11:58 am
I have Vanish on my Prep macro, no major complaints here. Usually, the only time I prep is when I need a vanish.
I’m tryin to figure out a macro that will pop your trinkets, then cast blade flurry, then cast killing spree. So far, I’ve only gotten to were it cast blade flurry and pops the trinket
Sorry but as far as I know this can’t be done. You are coorect that it is due to the fact that Shadowdance is more like a buff and is not a stance. Macros do not currently support conditionals based on buffs. So basically you are kind of stuck with a new bar.
I have a few new macros i made for combat for pve instead of spaming ss 5 times and then hitting snd does this work well or is there a easier way to make it?
#showtooltip
/castsequence sinsterstrike sinsterstrike sinsterstrike sinsterstrike sinsterstrike slice and dice
almost anti fake macro tho :
———————–
/dump loadstring(“local _, _, _, _, _, _, _, _, interruptAble = UnitCastingInfo(\”target\”); if UnitCastingInfo(\”target\”) and not interruptAble then SpellStopCasting() CastSpellByName(\”Kick\”) end”)()
———————–
It actually kick ONLY when target is casting smth… if you will spam it it will do nothing until target starts casting any spell… have fun
I tried finding one forever back when I was combat, I never found one, just keybind them to two close together buttons like ‘f’ and ‘r’ so they can be used rapidly.

is it possible to make a macro that casts cheap shot and then trinket if my cheap shot lands?
/cast cheap shot
/cast victor’s call
this works if my cheap shot hits the target, but if not it will just cast the trinket and break my stealth
/cast cheap shot
/cast [nostealth] victor’s call
this doesnt cast the trinket at all
Is there no way to improve the super preparation macro so that it wont work directly after you just have used it by 3 seconds or something? so that u dont have to worry about wasting all your cds by accident ^^
Two of my favorite macros:
Stealth Eat
/use (whatever food you have)
/Cast Stealth
If you didnt know you could eat while stealth, you fail. Only downside is you have to always buy the same food. I have one for mage food and my normal food.
Dismount Stealth
/dismount
/cast Stealth
This will automatically dismount you when you use your stealth button. (Stealth button can also be used as normal)
Hi, can you add some another macros with??? trinket blind sap gouge… (Unmercey use these macros in Um. 7 Hana, he sapped –> he casting st., if he stunned he cast trinket blind nocombat so he can goto stealth(or vanish) if the target cast trinket he can sapp him in 0.0001seconds) pls contact me on my email Sorry my english, my bad.

Mutilate Start Attack Stealth :
#show Mutilate
/startattack
/cast [nostealth] Stealth
/cast [combat] Mutilate
When spamming this macro it will start auto attacking your current target and while you are in combat it casts Mutilate and as soon as you get out of combat u get in to stealth.
Pick Pocket :
#show Pick Pocket
/cleartarget
/targetenemy
/cast Pick Pocket
Works the same way as the Sap macro, you can just run by a bunch of mobs and picket pocket em without single targetting.
Garrote / Rupture :
/cast [stealth] Garrote
/cast [nostealth] Rupture
In stealth u cast garrote and out of stealth rupture.

Comment by Sixetynine — February 18, 2009 @ 3:24 pm
i like using
/cast [nocombat] Stealth; [combat] Vanish
self explanitory… stealths you out of combat and vanishes in combat
(still like using prevanish for the stealth increase but for a quick vanish i love using same bind for stealth and vanish)

I have an alternative version of the sap macro:
#show sap
/cleartarget
/targetenemyplayer
/cast sap
The difference is that it targets only enemy PLAYERS… meaning it won’t target pets and totems and such. Ever been in a situation spamming the macro where you actually see the rogue in stealth but you’re a bit closer to a totem? I did… and it sucked.

I am Duel-wielding the Murder dagger. Is there a macro to equip 1ea in the MH/OF. And is there a macro to Cast poisons on MH/OF?
Comment by Horatis — March 13, 2009 @ 6:40 am
Hmmm. I’m trying to creat a macro to do something like:
/cast [target=targetenemy, nopet, nodead] sap
But I’m not too good with macros XD. Do you think it would work? Or could someone tell me a macro that would perform in that way? Thanks.
Comment by Suramar — March 20, 2009 @ 4:48 pm
Is there any macro too make backstab switch to ambush when shadowdance is up? and likeways make ks act as cs?
Comment by Aneth — April 13, 2009 @ 4:49 am
Which macro is it that lets you Sap someone, then cheap shot them without any risk of wound poison breaking the sap?
I saw a video a while back where someone was using a weapon switching macro to get a cheap shot in without breaking sap, then re-stealthing and opening with a Garrotte, with 5 combo points.
Comment by Trek — April 19, 2009 @ 3:33 pm
/cast Stealth()
can u help me?
/script CastShapeshiftForm(1);
/script if not(string.find(GetShapeshiftFormInfo(1), “Invis” )) then CastSpellByName(”Shadowmeld(Racial)”); end
this macro doesn’t work for me some blizard ui error pops
thx in advance

I’m looking for an stop attack after you expose armor macro? If their is this type of macro.
Comment by Shijima — April 26, 2009 @ 3:16 am
Just use /stopattack in your macro man
Comment by Dalazar — April 27, 2009 @ 12:38 am
I was wondering if this is the way you do the sap+anbush+vanish+sap thing.
#show vanish
/cast [button:1]anbush
/stop autoattack
/cast [button:1]vanish
/cast [button:2]sap
Because mine works but i was wondering how the profetionals do it.
***WARNING***
If you do use this macro click once with left click and then once with right click.(Spamming this macro will just cause you to cast ambush again.)
If done correctly the target will be anbushed adding 1-2 pionts and some damage and put them into/back into a sap.

Ok i know this is random but i got a question. I got double berserkin on both weapons, and I played a bunch of rogues team last night. I was thinkin of gettin weapon chain. my question now is does it matter if i out it on the main hand or off hand?
Comment by IDK — May 25, 2009 @ 10:53 am
if ur gonna pvp then u need a weapon chain :/
Comment by Funnybonez (US-Gurubashi) — May 29, 2009 @ 11:56 am
put the weapon chain on whichever weapon is slower, so that ur faster weapon will proc its enchant more. unless the weapon speed affects the proc rates, then it shouldnt matter
Comment by Funnybonez (US-Gurubashi) — May 29, 2009 @ 11:58 am
I have Vanish on my Prep macro, no major complaints here. Usually, the only time I prep is when I need a vanish.

Could you help with the macro. it should be like
/cast [nostealth] backstab
/cast [shadowdance] ambush
but i think there is no stance like “shadowdance” in the macro commands
would really appreciate help, cause i dont want my whole bar to change and it would be awesome if just stab changed to bush
Comment by dmsnova — June 17, 2009 @ 2:27 am
Sorry but as far as I know this can’t be done. You are coorect that it is due to the fact that Shadowdance is more like a buff and is not a stance. Macros do not currently support conditionals based on buffs. So basically you are kind of stuck with a new bar.

also for camping huntards as the flare animation is kinda hard to jump into for me
Comment by chickenfillets — July 21, 2009 @ 9:54 pm

/cast [stance:0] Stealth
still cancel my stealth aura :/
Comment by dmsnova — July 27, 2009 @ 9:04 pm
almost anti fake macro tho :
———————–
/dump loadstring(“local _, _, _, _, _, _, _, _, interruptAble = UnitCastingInfo(\”target\”); if UnitCastingInfo(\”target\”) and not interruptAble then SpellStopCasting() CastSpellByName(\”Kick\”) end”)()
———————–
It actually kick ONLY when target is casting smth… if you will spam it it will do nothing until target starts casting any spell… have fun

Anyone got a functional macro which will blind your current target if pressed normally and blind focus with shift as a modifier.. Much appreciated.
Comment by Mutrog — August 22, 2009 @ 12:35 pm
I tried finding one forever back when I was combat, I never found one, just keybind them to two close together buttons like ‘f’ and ‘r’ so they can be used rapidly.
Comment by Mcstabz — August 25, 2009 @ 4:54 am

i meant the macro shud look like this
#showtooltip Mutilate

Comment by Otherdude — September 1, 2009 @ 12:49 pm
just try putting this
#showtooltip backstab
/cast ambush
/cast backstab
it will only cast ambush if u can cast it if not it will cast backstab.. theoratically it should work.. if it doesnt.. well i tried.. just bored waiting for servers to be up and alot of ppl here seem to need help with their macros =p
Comment by Otherdude — September 1, 2009 @ 12:51 pm
like i said in a similar comment
#showtooltip ambush or backstab wadever tooltip u prefer looking at
/cast ambush
/cast backstab
it shud be casting ambush whenever possible and backstab if not as if u are unable to use the ability there will be no gcd used and it will automatically detect the next line..
Comment by Otherdude — September 1, 2009 @ 12:54 pm
is it possible to make a macro that casts cheap shot and then trinket if my cheap shot lands?
/cast cheap shot
/cast victor’s call
this works if my cheap shot hits the target, but if not it will just cast the trinket and break my stealth
/cast cheap shot
/cast [nostealth] victor’s call
this doesnt cast the trinket at all
Comment by myti — September 7, 2009 @ 4:20 pm
put /use [nostealth] 14 or 13 depends where is the trink atm
Comment by Freilol — September 8, 2009 @ 12:04 am
Is there no way to improve the super preparation macro so that it wont work directly after you just have used it by 3 seconds or something? so that u dont have to worry about wasting all your cds by accident ^^
Comment by sleepy — October 1, 2009 @ 1:12 pm
Two of my favorite macros:
Stealth Eat
/use (whatever food you have)
/Cast Stealth
If you didnt know you could eat while stealth, you fail. Only downside is you have to always buy the same food. I have one for mage food and my normal food.
Dismount Stealth
/dismount
/cast Stealth
This will automatically dismount you when you use your stealth button. (Stealth button can also be used as normal)
