Akrios WOTLK UI

This is the UI I’m currently using in WOTLK. I dropped the discord art that you may have recognized in the past simply because it had become a pain to update, being broken with each new patch. I try to keep things as clean as possible. I’ve replaced proximo with gladius which is, in my opinion, a superior mod. I’m not saying this is a perfect ui, but it works for me, and if you’d like to use it you can download it below.

To Install:

  1. Extract the folder from the Winrar file.*
  2. Change the Account, Server, and Character folders in the WTF folder to the names of your own Account, Server and Character.
  3. Replace your current Interface folder with the one in the download.
  4. Replace your current WTF folder with the one in the download.

* To extract the file, use Winrar, a free archiving program.

Note: Make backup copies of your current WTF and Interface folders in case you need them in the future.

    Anyway, you could maybe add an in-combat shot to show your NECB, stunwatch, SCT, etc.

    @kpetaemrumo: you may need to load specific profiles for the bar mods. Try going to the profile tabs of those addons and see if there is perhaps a profile called ‘Akrios’ or ‘Yourusername’ in them.

  7. I installed it correctly and everything is a mess also. I have tried loading Akrioss profiles on every addon and it is still the same big blurry mess. I’m using Vista 32bit. Any help?

  9. Heya cheers for the link, one thing though, when I log in everything is sweet except for the fact that my Honor, Achievements and Stealth button are in the middle of my screen and I cant find them anywhere in MA to move them.

    Anyone offer some advice?

  12. Everything stated above. Framerate is horrid, complete disorder of the action bars and everything else there. Even switched around the screen sizes, but no luck. Thanks for the opportunity to use your UI though! All the best…

  13. Love the site, great looking UI. but may I suggest going through all the saved variables and removing traces off AddOns you no longer use. This does 2 things, eases lodaing and debugging of addons, also less saved variables are loaded when you launch WoW. The variables are loaded weather you have the addon to use them or not.

  14. Hello Masterchief Akrioss :)

    I just installed your UI right how you advice to install it and everything is in total disorder :( I tried to put the bars etc. at the right places by loading the Akrioss – Cho Gall profile but it doesn’t change anything :’(

    I don’t know if something like a “config” is missing but it’s not working for me and it seems it’s not working for more people too.

    Your UI is really soft and nice and I really would like to use it, it would be cool if you can advice us about what we can do to repair this ^^

    Good job anyway on everything else, videos etc, following Eviscerate since Thunderfury days :p

  19. For those that have problems, have a look in the individual addons preferences for a profile called Akrios and load it. Haven’t downloaded it so not sure if it’s going to work or not.

  21. A nice addon to keep track of both S’n'D and Hunger for Blood is: Cutup.

    Gives you a addon to play around with where you get bars for poison duration, bleeds, hunger for blood and SnD. You can easy move / change thickness or anything you want. Play fun!

  24. I find that PARROT (scrolling combat text) is much better than the Scrolling combat text, you should check it out.

  25. Hey Akrios. I have problems with your UI. Well I’ve followed all the instructions, logged and all your addons popped up. Lot of chaos, cant see anything, dont know how to set bars & everything else so it looks like your UI.
    Map is not an square, everything is very big. Bah! What UI scale do you use?

    First of all thanks for the wonderful UI pack. I’ve been effing around with it for a day now, and I still have a couple of questions.

    - Bottom left, I think that would be natur enemy castbar, how can I move that?

    - Minimap, everytime I log out and in, the minimap is positioned a little bit to the right, even though it is locked.

    - SCT, the damage that I do is not being shown in SCT, is that possible?

    - Stunwatch often doesn’t notice Kidney Shot.

  35. Akrios, please read this. If you want to use your old textures on your UI, download EEPanels2 and then download this: http://www.megaupload.com/es/?d=37IVV2LK
    Put folder “Textures” to your Addons Folder.
    Enter game, and when logged write /eepanels2 waterfall and create 3 panels. Call they chatleft, chatright and minimap (for instance), then find the route of the textures (c/:Program files/World of Warcraft/Interface/Addons/Textures/Chatbox3.tga) and copy the link, open eepanels2 waterfall, click con panels settings, chat right, Background texture, and paste the link. Do the same with the other textures and panels.
    And there you can bloq or desbloq panels and move it in your screen, you can resize it, change background color…

  36. this is some buuulllshittt, ur ui aint working, according to my game i dont got half the haddons, bartender is there, but i cant access it by either interface > addons or doing the bartender command.

    goodtry tho, appriciate it, get an update going soonish i guess

    ur movie was quite nice, lots of ur opponents are dum as bread but loved the new music

  38. Well, I really like your UI and wanted to use it, so i followed the directions but when i log onto WoW all of my old add ons are in the folder but not the new ones for your UI. I followed the directions right but its not working, any suggestions?

  39. Bah, I normally play on eu, but after downloading and installing this I automatically get connected to the us realms. No problem with the Realmlist.wtf, so I dunno what it is. Anyone got an idea?

    - Use /necb to open the Natur Enemy Cast Bar menu. You can probably find out how to unlock the bars from there.

    - Yes, it is possible – you will need SCTD (Scrolling Combat Text Damage) if you want your damage to show up as well, though.

  44. I downloaded this ui today, I saved it in my wow map and when I was going to open the map and extract the files with winrar it opened shitloads of files, like document files and stuff. Not like normal map files as it is when you download an addon.
    So I dont get the WTF,Interface and Font folders as I should. I’ve downloaded other ui’s so I know the deal, but just dont works with this one. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

  48. Is anyone having problems with DK’s and ret pallys? Out of all these classes I struggle with them the most.. they literally two-three shot me.. does full PVP gear later help this? Or is there a way to tool them aside from that?

  52. I`ve decided to try this UI pack. It`s working great, i had no problem fixing it, i`ve dealt with those addons before. BUT.. cause there is always a BUT… since i`ve started use it, i have a minor problem. Whenever i want to take a screen shot, using the print screen button, the picture, is auto saved as .TGA, instead of .JPEG as it used to. Cause of this problem, i am not able to view the screen shots i take. Can someone please give me a hint how to solve this problem?
    P.S. I instaled ACDSEE for helping me view the pictures, but i would like not using any program for viewing, since i was never forced to use it before in this kind of situation.

  55. /bar will bring up bartenders options. just uncheck the lock option and all your bars that are enabled should now be movable.

  56. Follow these steps after Akrios steps ;)

    1. When you have logged in you will see some bars here and some there.
    2. /bar – Click on Profiles and select: Akrioss – Cho’Gall
    3. /sct menu – Click on SCT Profiles and select: Akrioss – Cho’Gall

    That’s all.

    There’s also a profile for Gladius that doesn’t do anything, can you confirm this Akrios? And it would be nice of you added profiles to all addons. And what resolution are you playing?

  69. I opened up the file called config.cfg in the “WTF” folder, just to see what it was, and if you scroll into the text a bit you can see something similiar to “screenshot type “tga”", if you change that to JPEG maybe it’ll work? – No idea really, but it do feel like it should work.

  80. Somehow, my keyboard hotkeys for social / honor / character info stop working and I found out that I have to click on GM help (little question mark) to make them work again. This never happened before and started just now after I installed akrios’ ui.

    And another thing that bothers me a little – this ui has some kind of “built in stopcasting” – when I start casting steady shot on my hunter, and press explosive shot in the middle of the cast, the steady shot casting stops, just like if I used stopcasting.

  89. Whenever I try to setup Bartender, well, I can’t, as it’s lacking your profile. There’s no Akrios – Cho’gall, and none of the other profiles match your setup, anyone with a clue or what so ever?

    I think teh part with “friends” is very important to many people, cauz so many rogues spend their time playing wow and they had no friends IRL.

  110. When I install the ui I get all the mods but none of them are set. Am I missing something? I followed the instructions above as fare as I could tell.

  111. Gulasmi, when you open it, the stuff should already be set, if not. To set up the bartender, type /bt and go to profiles, load “Akrioss – Cho’gall” and do that with all the mods, SCT and everything else, SCT requires a log out and log in to take effect though.

Akrios i notice in some of your video’s that you have a small bar just above your rogues head and it displays cheapshot timer, along with blind and such, was just wondering what addon does this because ECB and Natur dont seem to have this option plus natur is very long and thin this looks like a smaller bar to the ECB

  127. Not bad nice and clean. I can give you a hand in making the setup nub friendly or atleast point you in the right direction. Also do yourself a favour, go host it on wowinterface. Save yourself some bandwidth, your site has alot off links coming to it now and you’ll be screaming for more soon. Part from that. Keep up the rogue loving and give those dk’s a 5point evis crit for me

  128. Hello Akrios. Do you nowadays have a working StunWatch addon?
    Mine seems not working, or atleast bugging alot. Ex. if I blind a target, and I die and release spirit, Blind frame just stays there and wont go away.

  132. Hey, I just downloaded your UI. When I load it the screens a mess. I typle /bt go to profiles and it doesn’t give me any thing besides:

    Anasterian-Atoli (My stufffffff)
    Rogue
    Default

    It doesn’t give me Akrios-Cho’gall, I could really use some help I really want this to get working. Please some one help me!

  133. This addon package is way outta date, as for stunwatch there is a working version on wowinterface.com As for /bt if you’ve upgraded the addns you may off lost the profile. But either way make sure your renaming the files in the WTF folder correctly, IE Caps for USERNAME ect… I did fix up and and update this package and was prepared to upload it to WoW Interface, but I came across one on there already. Can’t remember the name or Link, but theres an updated one there.
    No longer using this UI Myself.

  134. Hi, I have install your UI, nice and simple UI but I have a probleme,when I do a “focus” target (with gladius and also by wow addons blizzard -right clic, focus…) I’ve go a big message error,

    I can click to OK, but noway the message never disepear,

    If I remeber the message error concerne a .xml intot the LUA or somethink like that,

    can someone help me to found a solution to this?

    2. /bar – Click on Profiles and select: Akrioss – Cho’Gall
    3. /sct menu – Click on SCT Profiles and select: Akrioss – Cho’Gall
