UI
For people waiting for a fix on my ui, I can’t yet figure out how to fix the discord art. I’m not the original person who made it, and I’m no expert on it. That being said, the art seems to work other than some white boxes around the chat log that ruin it. I’ll try again when I have some time, and I started a thread on it on the discord forums. If anyone else figures it out, please let us know.
In the mean time, this is the ui I’m running with. Basically the same thing, except no discord art and some mods updated for 3.0. I also changed from moveit to moveanything, it’s the same general addon except this one works.

Other than that, the current patch is so disastrously laggy that I haven’t really been able to play other than bgs. I think it’s kind of stupid that blizzard released the patch before it could be applied to the game without making it unplayable. If you join an arena game too quickly, you have a good chance of getting the transfer aborted error. This would be ok if dueling was an option, but durotar, or anywhere with enough people, is too laggy to do anything. Battlegrounds seem to be working alright, but they are far from perfect. Hopefully things will be back to normal soon.
I’m liking this spec best of what I’ve tried, because this game feels like its about burst damage in 3.0. People die extremely quickly. I also found combat interesting but as I’ve said, I haven’t been able to seriously test anything in the lag.

Why u have Skilled Focused Attacks and no Imp KS ?

its known that KS fails a lot (dodges,parry, etc ) focused attacks seems nice to fit in since its an extra energy boost that might help land an extra mutilate if RNG goes well. hope this helps
btw akrios have you found a mutilatecrit update would love to see one around…

Old mutilate crit addon works perfectly couse it does nothing special but sums the 2 hits from both daggers, i had an interesting question about the mutilate build, iam playing 42/17/2 with 1.9/1.8 daggers and red that for big mut’s its best to use slow weapons just like me although focused attacks give more dps using fast weapons and so giving more energy any thought on that?

I get absolutely TOASTED with this spec in arena’s. I get focussed immediately and ripped like a bitch.

sorry i left errormonster in, i don’t currently use it. I’m pretty sure you can disable error msg with interface opt.

5 it doesn’t give me an error, if you are using other mods there could be conflicts I’m not aware of
I like focused attacks better than imp ks, because I can’t even do arena atm. Maybe once its playable imp ks would be better but i think its questionable.
7 a fast offhand is better for pve now but for pvp a slow is more important..this game now, more than ever, is about burst
8 Arena right now as a rogue, from what I’ve seen, is get in, do your stuff (ie dump energy load, cs ks ea etc) and get out. Use cds fairly offensively as well. We can’t tank a ret pally, with 300 resil a s2 ret pally can kill me in a single hoj. Rogues can kill each other in a ks. Mages can rip us…yea. Just be careful and do your best not to eat stuns, as always they are the rogue killer.

Just go into ur interface, and under one of the tabs (not quite sure which one it is) Has a tick options for “Show LUA errors” Click that off, and you won’t receive any.

Also you can do so:
1. Remove my config and make your own in Eepanels
2. Put Etext folder to Interface
3. Create panel, then right click on it and Background texture -> Background texture custom texture and in box type \Interface\Etext\minimapborder.tga for minimap art and another two panels with same config but in box type \Interface\Etext\Chatbox3.tga
4. In Background color and Border Color set Opacity on 0.

Put the shadows to the lowest it can go.
This fixed my lag completely. I put it back up and got more lag. So the shadows look nice but u need a crazy computer to not lag with them.

IMO HfB is not as useful as one might think for PvP. The bleed cleanse is nice and so is the 9% damage increase, but losing 30 energy every 25 seconds and a GCD in an arena match is oftentimes enough to cause a loss.
In BGs it’s a different issue. Once you mount, you can’t keep your stack unless you dismount every 25 seconds to refresh it, then mount again to get where you want to go. If you lose your stack, you’re forced to stealth and stack it while waiting for energy regen before doing anything.
Then there’s the issue of talent points that you need to spend to reach HfB and weighing them with what could be gotten in the Sub tree. Since CttC is near useless in PvP, you’d have to take Imp. KS, Imp. Expose, and/or Master Poisoner. All useful talents, but IMO are outweighed by choices in Sub such as MoD, Imp. Sap, full RS, and Elusiveness.
As Akrios said, 3.0 is all about burst and using CDs offensively since the skills and talents are not balanced for level 70 play. Having those Sub talents allow you a much greater chance of getting openers, taking away initial burst on yourself, and lowering CDs through Elusiveness allows you more CDs to use and a shorter CD on CloS.

Sorry for the noob question but what poisons are you using for pvp ? I have been neglecting deadly as it break gouge and using wound main mind numbing off to shut down casters.
HfB is a great talent except for the fact that you have to keep refreshing it.

Aargh, I’ve been strugling with this UI for like an hour now.MoveAnything! should maybe change name to MoveSomeThings! or is just me being a dumbass? I can move some stuff but I can’t move my action bars (which I kinda find most important…)
I get a big square grid thing in the middle of my screen (made from like 6 action bars under eachother) that I can’t remove even after I removed all the abilities from it. This means that when I right click somewhere on my screen to move around it’s likely to right click an empty action bar spot which prevents me from moving proberly.
Am I the only one with this problem?

I did the same thing Akiros, switched to MoveAnything since there was an 3.0 update for it. For Robben, you might wanna switch your action bars to Bartender4 or Bongos to move them more specificly(using Bartender4) cause the action bars kind of screwed up for me to while moving them in MoveAnything. Looking for a mutilatecrit update.

But Sayou, with Move Anything you can’t move ticket survey frame. I tested it, and sometimes my skill bars goes to de left and when i relog they continue there, I don’t like it,

Hunger for Blood just isn’t worth it in PvP, CttC is useless. By far if your going to run a Mutilate spec, Akrios has posted the best spec you can possibly grab. Once you hit 80, it will be possible to grab Preparation along with Mutilate which could offer more for the bargain. As of now, Akrios is right, its all about the burst. Typically all of the trees offer this potential (Yes, even Combat). The only problem I have seen with running Mutilate is the lack of glyphs for Mutilate, which is really unfair imo.

A quick rundown is that Slow MH/Fast OH is the usual setup with DP MH/IP OH if using an Assassination spec.

I haven’t played since the patch has come out, but I’m sure Mind-Numbing/Wound is the way to go in arena. Typically wouldn’t matter since Wound doesn’t stack anymore though. I’ve seen Instant/ Wound also though.

I’ve been playing with practically the same build as Akrios and it’s my favorite as well.
Only difference is I just go for the 3/3 imp evis with it’s glyph + the gouge one. I never feel im short on combo pts or energy after finishers to get get more for rushdown burst. Matter of preference.

I am changing the WTF folders names to my account name, my server (Magtheridon), and my character’s name (Nrgi).
I am using Vista, so I don’t know if this causes a problem. The WoW folder is not in Program Files though, so I cannot access it through the Virtual Store.
Please help.
