Just some duels I decided not to use for my last video. Rather than delete them I thought some people might enjoy taking a look.

 

New Patch

3.0 hit today with a massive 1.2 GB patch. Here are some of the patch notes. To better familiarize yourself with the patch check out our 3.0 prepping article here. 

Notes

The following content will be disabled or removed :

  • The Atiesh quest-chain will not be completable anymore.
  • The Bear Mount from Zul’aman will no longer drop.
  • The Onyxia quest-chain has been removed from the game.
  • Naxxramas is "removed" from the game and moved to Dragonblight. (Unreachable until WotLK, obviously)
  • The ability to get titles related to Tier 4 or Tier 5 content is being removed. Of course, players who got them before the patch keep them. (Hand of A’dal, Champion of the Naaru) 

Also, a few things are being changed or added : 

  • Barbershops are now available in capital cities !
  • Achievements are being added to the game !
  • The amount of experience needed to level from 60 to 70 has been lowered.
  • New graphical effects are being added to the game, including the new shadow engine
  • The Stormwind Harbor will be available, but you won’t be able to travel to Northrend until the release of WotLK. However it does have a working boat travelling between Auberdine and Stormwind.
  • The Caverns of Time have been slightly modified to add an entrance for CoT: Stratholme. The instance itself won’t be available before WotLK, only the entrance is being added.
  • Mounts and Vanity Pets are now trainable spells and the old items will be used to teach you these spells. Once a mount or pet is learned you can access it through the Character Panel.
  • Various tokens like Badges of Justice or Honor Points are all merged in the new Token Interface. It will also remove the Badges of Justice and PvP Tokens from your bags to free up even more space !
  • The in-game Calendar used to schedule raids or events between your friends and guildmate will be available by typing /calendar

Item changes

  • +Healing and +Spell damage stats are being merged into a single +Spell power stat. Healers’ talents and spells have been updated accordingly to compensate this change.
  • Items with magic school-specific damage like +shadow or +nature have been converted to +spell power as well. This include most of the TBC items except for some enchantments like Sunfire or Soulfrost.
  • Protection Paladin and Tanking Warrior sets to reflect changes on the new mechanics. A lot of non set items are also being changed.

Raid changes

  • Raids buffs, debuffs, and auras stacking have been revamped.
  • All TBC raid monsters will have their health reduced by about 30%.
  • The standard melee damage output will be reduced as well.
  • Boss abilities remain unchanged, except for Illidan who won’t use Shear anymore.

 

Coming to Roguerogue.com in the next few days:

In the next few days we’re going to be testing out the rogue specs and seeing what works so we can bring you a talent spec page updated for 3.0. 

The servers are kind of choppy right now, but I’ll also be redoing my ui (or salvaging what’s left of it) for 3.0. Also going to work on re-uploading a bunch of the older videos that fell off with vimeo’s ban on gaming videos.

We should be implementing a new "video of the week" feature as well. Stay tuned for more.

I think that a lot of the talent builds at lvl 70 will be pretty incomplete until lvl 80. for mutilate right now I was trying out 44/10/7. with that Im already missing some key talents like imp sprint, but not until 80 will those talents be more reachable. the 2 point opportunity talent is a lot of bonus damage if you’re used to fighting behind the target already. I dunno, give it some thought. it’s only the first day of the new patch anyway

  7. http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=f0ecoeMoiroIzZ0xZebbb Is what I’m using at the moment (first spec I’m trying), seems to be the best mut spec for pvp at 70 that I’ve seen. Not sure about a few things yet. The game feels completely different already.

  8. Just talented 10-51-0. Best talent i can imagine. Killing spree gives us incredible damage, with all other talents. Just insane. Soloed an enhancement shamy and titan grip warrior in 1v2 skirmish with it. They were venge geared, but still, i think this is awsome. Damage is far beyong reality, also, Nerves of steel gives you less damage in stuns. It’s really noticable. But nerf moonkins lol, got a 10k burst and insta died lol.

  13. btw my own oppinion of a mutilate specc is this, its really good from what ive experience THIS far, i kill warriors,mmhunters,discpriests/reflectiveshields,warlocks,restodruids,restokin, frostmage, theyre all a joke, so easy, but i got a hard time with ret pallas >_>like 50/50 vs good ones, <3 dismantle!! :D

  14. it’s a real challenge testing pvp specs in world pvp this early into a new patch because anywhere i go for a fight, it ends up being a brawl. And of course everyone and their mother has a ret pally and a warrior now.
    However, a lot of classes are pretty easy to beat in straight 1 on 1. Ret pallies are…meh, win some lose some. The game feels really unbalanced at the moment though. Blizz should’ve waited until WotLK to drop such a huge bomb when we really aren’t ready for it.

  15. Combat works for me atm it has excellent dmg which is a must with so dmg added on other classes.I mean u have to kill them before they kill u.However i dought this spec will be good at 80. Shadowstep dagger was really good at 2.1 patch at lvl 60 but hemo was the build that ruled at 70.

  16. I specced 10/0/51, ambush/backstab. With the new talents to decrease energy cost and premed CD changed I am DESTROYING people with this build. Shadowdance rocks to continue the stunlock.. Shadowdance –> CS –> Ambush, combo points out the ears!

    Give it a try. :)

    -gj getting faked numerous times (Especially on drain life, really pro).
    -gj beating a warlock who wasn’t use a voidwalker/hs/battlemaster’s (Oh wait he wasn’t allowed to use them)
    -I’m impressed that you beat him without opener WOW!
    -popping evasion only to get spell locked only to vanish is good.
    -gratz brah

    @gumpnasty
    -good thing you showed only a few duels where rng was 100% in your favor
    -1 resisted stun (cs on the vanish, bc you’re pro and do it between bleed ticks amirite?)
    -you dodged his disarm without evasion up while feared (outplayed clearly)
    -you used 4/4 and a brooch to get an amazingly powerful opener, that luckily for you didn’t consist of any resists

    @priest (scientology?) duels
    -gj getting faked so hard on flash heal that he faked even after you fell for it, because he figured you weren’t that bad
    -gj never landing a gouge because “OMG BUT HE SPUN AROUND AHHH”
    -gj beating a priest as an UD rogue in pvp gear… as mutilate

    TLDR ITV:
    -Fakecasted a lot
    -Good side of RNG a lot
    -never once restealthing on imp gouge (you got it for energy regen right?)

    2. Can’t ppl build their own UIs? Using someone else’s UI is like buying a prefurnished house, without your own input.
    3. Looking forward to your discussion of builds. I’ll probably use 5/51/5 for raiding, but 18/0/43 for 5-mans and solo.

    (no im not for your UI, i did my own myself :D )

    GZ guys for the RogueRogue site. Im a casual rogue and I learnd a lot from here. It is a big help for the average players.

    I already tried few talent spec, some realy good. I would like to see your recommendation. Also, if u have a little time, can you update the A “Guide to Rogue Races – PvE and PvP” guide please? The racials now is changed.

    Im sorry to say that, but i think u need to wait for the UI little more time. Many of the addons is still not updated and still not working in the 3.0.2 WoW. Akrios can not make his UI, until the addons is not ready. He need to find some alternative way, becuse some addons is they dont develop it any more (for example u have to use Dominos, because no Bongos3 anymore, an d a lot more like that).

    Most of you out gear me here by a whole lot but to give an example from this spec i use i had mutilate hit for over 2k on each hand. So a lucky crit opportunity it was. I average around 2.6k-3.1k crits. With that said I can only imagine how much harder all other rogues that have better gear are hitting for.
