This is an arena video. It is separate from my World pvp series which I will start working on again in September. Hopefully I’ll find the time to make eviscerate 9 before expansion, but in the mean time I though I might as well post some arena videos.
Specs:
This video has two specs used, mutilate combat and assassination shadowstep. These specs can be found here: http://roguerogue.com/?p=26. I use the vile poisons version for both.
On Mutilate in Arena:
I would love to be able to play mutilate all the time in arena, but I play the spec that helps my team most. I only feel mutilate really is on par in 3v3 with a caster and healer for the 3s and 2s setups available to me. With double dps in 2v2 you really need to be able to use cds quickly and offensively to end things because your hp is limited. In other 3v3 setups shadowstep is kind of requiem because you can be focused and locked down too easily as mutilate. That being said, mutilate seems to be almost on par with shadowstep with a dps caster and a healer in my recent experience.
This video includes arena matches from the first two weeks of season 4 running various different teams in 2v2 and 3v3. There are also a few tournament realm matches as well.

Nice video, Akrios.
I noticed your RMP combo and while I don’t play a lot of insane 3’s, I managed a quick RMP to 2050ish territory. In our comp against a mirror who were good friends of ours, we actually jumped on the rogue and managed to destroy him. I haven’t played many mirrors but it seemed to work more often than not, as the rogue doesn’t really play very defensively especially when you jump them. Any thoughts?

Is mutilate viable in 2v2 with 2 dps? Will just get 2050 soon, but dunno what to take, two sword or shanker-mutilator. My heart goes to mutilate but if it sucks for 2v2 than i won’t. Any idea?

It’s pretty awesome how fast you drop people, tbqh… I rarely see matches that quick in 3v3, even playing with 2x melee in a warlock heavy BG.
That said, as per usuale, I loved your work. It’d be nice to see a few more losses though, I always liked that you included some losses in your duel/1v1 videos in addition to wins.

I was just thinking, why do you blind the same target after he trinkets first blind? Those blinds got same DR and the blind will only hold for 4 sec or so? Both very skilled rogues, hope I will be as good as you some day. :>

Akrios, is, and always will be, a member of Notorious. However, sometimes when he does PvP things, he will join Uchiha or another random guild. Regardless, he is still a member of Notorious.
