Ya I think it’s already been said but pretty much the reason for vile over master of sub is that having poisons be dispelled in arena means infinitely more than a small burst at the beginning. Even playing double dps, you aren’t going to be bursting someone down in the first 15 seconds against most teams.

Not much I can say that hasn’t already been said. I can see master of sub being better for 1v1s against certain classes or in scenarios without dispels, but generally in arena there isn’t really a contest between the two talents.

I don’t know much about private servers but I will say that this game has changed immensely since mid S1, people are generally a lot more knowledgeable about their classes, games last longer. Burst talents like master of sub or even lethality mean less and less, and utility talents have become more integral. In a 5 minute 2v2 game, the difference between maintaining a 4 stack wound or 5 stack wound could be the difference of 20k damage as opposed to the 2k you might gain from master of sub, assuming crit, all openers work, and no cc.

Vile really becomes even stronger as you play 3s and 5s, as that 50 percent debuff represents a ton of heals from 2 or 3 healers. That’s why a lot of rogues go (or used to before the changes to shs) deep poison mutilate, its due to the realization of the importance of poisons over damage.

But off the bat I can tell you that pally warrior, rogue druid, rogue mage are the most common comps we have difficulty with. There are others that are hard but aren’t as common (sham warrior, sham rogue, etc)

My 3s team was at 1900. People at 1900+ are smart.

If you’ve been playing private server for what more than a year?
Did you go through s2 even? I know you missed s3, and now s4.

Go play on a regular server right now. Try your spec. Watch your arena rating be <1500.

Last time I checked. PvP gear is DESIGNED for PvP. PvE gear is DESIGNED for PvE.

Rogues have enough survivability without res, so they can play around with their gear.

You play on a private server with zero res.

And really. If you had a spec like that PreBC. For the last THREE years? 10 points less. You’re looking at a really bad spec there.
