I HIGHLY suggest downloading the video, as the stream is always inferior quality. There should be a HQ WCM stream soon which is the best option if you choose to stream.
I’ve been working on this video for about a month and a half, just finished up filming and editing this weekend. Unlike my previous movies, I incorporated some plot to it. It’s also longer, and I personally feel its better edited than my work in the past.
About half of the 1v1s were arranged. I’m going to note here again that Alexandra won the majority of the duals, as did tipss, although they were mostly very close.
I use grenades and potions in “against the odds” situations. If this is a problem for you don’t watch the video.

In regards to my current feelings on mutilate, I think it’s very much a viable spec, but unfortunately shadowstep is generally superior in every pvp situation. That doesn’t mean mutilate won’t work, but what really hurts mutilate the most is other shadowstep rogues, because openers are so key in arena. WOTLK makes mutilate look extremely promising, so hopefully there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Just an absolutely awesome movie. Congratulations on putting out what is the best solo rogue (solo anything) movie for TBC. I love some of the retarded comments on WCM. I’m waiting for “L2 ShS noob” Haven’t seen that one yet.
Most solo rogue movies, as you know, contain an S3 geared rogue beating up people in S1 and worse. The quality of opponents in your movie is what people SHOULD be putting out. Hell, you have some 1v2s with people in gear that other rogues don’t even have 1v1s with in their movie.

in my opinion a rogue movie should display skill from both the player himself and the opponents, but this movie just doesn’t..I mean I noticed so many major flaws that it just made me sick, although the video is quite entertaining overall.
The human warrior starting with berserker stance + twohander ? Every decent warrior should know to start with def stance and a shield against a rogue, no matter what. And you used your coldblood on shiv on that duel.
Gouging a priest while his fear is on cooldown just doesn’t make any sense. You’re undead and the priest doesn’t know how to play so it doesn’t matter pretty much but is still a terrible play by you.
Sapping the pyromage after using a sap and gouge on him. 2½ second sap with 65 energy. Diminishing returns anyone?
The ShS rogue gets you blinded without trinket 2 times, but still he doesn’t know how to sap and start off with a full duration cheapshot/kidneyshot killing you instantly. Instead, he starts off with a 2 second cheap shot and a 5-8 second cooldown on his kidneyshot right after the blind. Correct me if I’m wrong (Don’t bother, because I’m not) but that does not qualify as a HIGH QUALITY OPPONENT.

I’m not criticizing the video because I thought it looked great overall but I do have the right to judge players about their lack of skill when I back my claims with proper arguments. yup. I’ll be the first to admit I make tons of mistakes, everyone does (believe it or not). I still think that was an exciting duel regardless of my decision to trinket late, that’s why I put it in. Awem and I both made mistakes in the duels at the end too, but I think those were two very interesting and exciting duels. That’s why I put them in and that’s how I choose content. Awem beat me several times playing flawlessly, as I did him when i had the opener, but I don’t decide content based on this.

Loved the movie! There is one thing I just can’t figure out…..how do you gain Hp via regenaration in the final fight aggainst that rogue? Is that through a trinket. I only have a low lvl rogue and I just do not have a clue ^^

You’ve shown a trend to showing nail-biter close fights in your last few movies. It’s obvious that you throw out the “boring” routine fights, but some people are not intelligent enough to realize that. The close fights, the ones you know you could lose with a single mistake are exactly the fights that you will make mistakes on. Good players force mistakes because they can take you out of your routine and make you improvise.
These are probably the same people who thought Neilyo’s first TBC movie was tha bomb. Dude, he took out 3 mages.. THREE MAGES. Yeah, all of whom had under 5K HP. Heh. Now, THAT is skill baby.

I still got a doubt from all ur movies. what is that bomb that make something like 500 dmg in 5 yds range? what’s its name? and for how many time it stun the target? This was fuckin brilliant. I had no clue who Alexandra was and Akrios were but their names sounded farmiliar. I was questing in SMV and I rode up to see two people fighting. I stayed and watched for a bit then I get Mind Controled by a priest out of nowhere and thrown off a cliff. Now that ive seen this video I know it was them and that Priest was the Draenei Female….juat a little story.

Hey Akrios. The video was fun and this is the 2nd time I took a look at it. I picked up a shard of Azzinoth and wanted to see how to approach mutilate (spec’d it just to check it out and its fun). What I’d like to see more is on your sct have the skill icon of whatever skill you use (this is just so that I may learn mutilate better and zoom-in’s kinda hide your key binds
). Like what is your approach garrote > muti > pool > ks > mut, mut … etc. I’m interested about it just for the off spec type of things as I’ve not done Mutilate in over a year.

I have mixed feelings about agreeing with pihwee…you did make mistakes but me being in the 2.2k+ brackets i make mistakes as well. No rogue can play flawlessly every duel that i realize, but waiting for the DR on Cheap Shot + Kidney shot when i sap is something i MUST do…i never consider opening twice in a row with CS/KS on DR. Still though overall i think its a great movie and you did great. My favorite part was the beginning when you 3v1ed (even if they were in glad gear…) lol priceless.

Wow very nice vid, great work Akrios. One question I have is about the duel against the mage in the Nagrand arena. At one point you sapped him and then cheapshotted him (I think) without breaking sap. This is one of those classic tricks which is tough to do in my experience. I could be mistaken though as to what exactly you did there. Whatever tyhe case may be, did you use a weapon swapping macro for it or did you just turn away fast enough? Thanks for the excellent vid, keep up the good work!

Very nice movie, but I see there was a lot of easy opponents as well, both lesser geared and keyboard turners, and some ppl had not a clue what they did..
What I called “Keyboard facerollers”.. But it was a nice movie, but I like your old movies more..
